3465 - 3473 Casey Redux
Jamie: Casey was cool to do insertions and so we decided well shoot it.
We pulled out our dildo kit and let Casey pick and choose. I think
she was a little shocked with the size of some of them so she went
for the small still great, "lady finger". Then we blasted Madonna
and went on our merry little way.
We love Casey at AW HQ. She's such a funny girl as you will see.
Instead of us telling jokes to her she was telling them to us and
had us rolling around on the ground laughing. It's girls like Casey
that makes our job even better than it is.
Um, Casey I believe that is a dildo not a knife.
3474 - 3492 Kellie
Abby: Cass and I took Kellie to an awesome little back beach of the
famous Manly in Sydney. Mid afternoon on a cloudy but warm summer
weekday, it was almost totally deserted, and of course Cass went
for a swim while I shot Kellie. We went up in the hills above the
beach for the bulk of the shoot, some quintessential Aussie bush
there.
Cass: We're lucky we shot her when we did, because she's so damn hot,
and when we immediately called her in for a redux, she was gone.
She's in Asia some where now on her big O.E. Good for her. I think
I mentioned it in her shoot bio, but on the day of her shoot there
was a couple having a D & M (deep and meaningful) on the rocks
down on the beach just near where we were shooting. The girl seemed
to be having some emotional issues and they were talking it
through. When her boyfriend went to give her a hug he noticed up as
he was facing in our direction as he squeezed his girl. The
girlfriend was obviously pleased that he gave her an extra
prolonged hug and started getting all fuzzy and schmoozie, but at
the same time slightly distracted. You can imagine the venom she
spat at him when she turned and busted him gawking straight up at
the gorgeous Kellie. Busted!
3493 - 3508 Becs
Cass: Bec's was bloody hard one. Don't be mislead by that natural
vibrant smile. She was a nightmare to get smiling. I was horribly
exhausted by the end of it, and totally out of crappy jokes to get
her laughing. Ended up having to flash my tits behind Abby's back
to get her to show her pearly whites. All the same it was good fun
and especially nice to be hanging out in such a serene location.
That's Sydney city in the background, you can juuuuust see the
Bridge.
3509 - 3518 Candii
Abby: So I had this wacky idea of doing a trad glam porn shoot, and
Candii insisted on wearing a wig on her shoot or it was a no-go, so
I gave it a go in this retro office décor. I got a friend
who specicialises in glam shoots to style her for me. Dunno if it
works, but it was fun!
3519 - 3424 Marta and Gretel
Abby: What a whirlwhind day this was. Cass and I took Marta and Gretel
to a deserted secluded beach we had found on a previous shooting
expidition. Of course, when we rocked up, there were fisherman
fulling in nets and stuff. We tried to fake them out by waiting,
but they looked like they had a lot to do, and the girsl were
getting braver, so we just started shooting (Marta solo, first, see
below). Then Gretel in the boat (coming in backstage 36), then them
together, before we left to go home.
There was this weird square rock-pool, totally overgrown with
barnacles, perhaps somone's old wading pool? It was filled with
soft sand and very clean, so we chose it for the shoot of them
together. Pairs of backpackers are so easy to do these kinds shoots
with, I can almost hold the shutter button down at 8 FPS, and
everything going to be good stuff! As I was shooting in full sun,
however, I had to use fill-flash, and the poor thing could not keep
up with my usual shooting speed. I did about 250 frames in four
minutes, then the flash died totally.
While I was trying to get it working, the girls all relaxed in the
pool, til I called it quits. Still a good shoot, even if it does
end a little abruptly. I now try to use natural light only (or with
reflector boards), for action GG stuff, so there's no risk of a
gear failure.
Cass: Marta rocked up with her friend Gretel, for an interview.
Obviously tourists, and for your information, German. The two of
them nearly sent me bonkers at the interview. They were so hyper
and giggly. It drove me nuts. However, at the shoot the two did
great jobs. Marta was definately the tougher of the two, easily
hopping and skipping over the rocks whilst poor fragile Gretel tip
toed and hobbled cautiously from stone to Stone, lagging more than
100 meters behind. Still, that's what makes best buddies and I
think Gretel liked having strong reliable Marta to keep her safe.
3525 - 3531: Lizzie redux
Abby: Ah, the houseboat. Christ, what a lot of work this was! We hired a
houseboat for three days, sailing around a large river system near
Sydney. It was about 1.5 hours drive from the centre of town, that
annoying distance to commute, but not far enough away to justify
accomodation (or the nightmare of logistics of getting around a
dozen models and staff fed and bedded for the duration). So, we
commuted with 8am calls at the studio each day. This was the first
time Lizzie decided to do some more explicit stuff. Lizzie is still
up there as one of the models we have shot the most for the site
(Annabel, and Elizabeth are up there as well).
It was a lot of hard work this trip, but it turned out really well.
More notes coming in subsequent backstage raves. This was the first
day...
Cass: Do you guys remember my first shoot? That was when I first met
Abby and the team, and... when I first met Lizzie! I was driving up
the coast with a girlfriend and blew a tyre. We pulled into this
tiny little wop wop mechanics in the middle of no man's land to get
the valve fixed and there was Lizzie with Felicity. They'd blown
the motor on their combi van. We made a wise crack about how we
probably met for a reason and then went on our merry way again. By
the time this shoot rolled around, Lizzie is my flatmate and done a
series of shoots for the site. And I still can't get over her
incredible body. She doesn't even work out. Sheesh girl!
3532 - 3543 Day 1 Lizzie, Morgan & Collette
Cass: This would have to be one of my most memorable days working for
Abby, and three of the best models to make the whole day so much
fun. Lizzie, Morgan and Collette hadn't met before this day, and it
turned out that the three of them got on like old buddies. This
made the whole day such a success, and we spent most of it rolling
around in fits of laughter. The only rule for the day was that we
had to get the boat back to port before dark. Ooops! Abby got in
SOOO MUCH trouble for that one from the boat hire place (it was cos
she wanted to do those sunset shots of the group of us, miles away
from where we were supposed to dock). Norty.
3544 - 3552 Marta
Cass: Marta ad Gretel came hand in hand to their shoot. It was all or
nothing with these loyal friends. Not that bothered us. We couldn't
have picked a more gorgeous or sunny day, and the two of them were
happy as Larry to be taken on a little tourist drive around other
parts of Sydney. Marta loved doing a shoot with us, and because we
shot her first, she spent the rest of the afternoon lazing in the
sun like a seal. Good for you girl.
3553 - 3557 Gwyneth
Abby: At a loss for locations, we shot Gwyneth in our funky (and
recently refurbished) interview space.
Cass: I was quite sure that we wouldn't be shooting Gwyneth . You'd
think I've know better by now, but for some reason I didn't think
she would be Abby enough. Sheesh? You're probably wondering how
many other girls I've turned away like Gwyneth eh? Well, don't be
too concerned. I think my judgement is pretty good most the time,
and anyway, we did shoot Gwyneth, who turned out to be especially
cute and photogenic, and such a little sweetheart too, with her
little lisp and baby doll smile.
3558 - 3563 Lene.
Abby: We shot Lene on a massive bluff overlooking the Tasman Sea, near
Bondi. We had previously shot a Mez model in the same location, and
decided it was such a good place that we could get away with using
it again at sunset. I was disappointed at the time, as there was a
light cloud cover which massively reduced the contrast of all the
pics, but in hindsight, I like the "airy" feel of these. A shot
from this shoot was the front page image for this site for around
18 months.
Jamie: Lene is the cutest little German chick. Has anyone ever told you
never to tell jokes to foreigners? Well it doesn't work something
is always lost in the translation. Trying to tell Lene some of my
jokes just didn't work and we spent more time explaining them then
we did making her laugh. I think Lene just laughed to make us think
we we're funny. We got Lene to have a chat to the camera. At first
she was having a bit of trouble talking as she couldn't think what
to say. So we asked her to tell us a story in German and translate
it for us. So she started rambling on in German for at least 3
minutes non stop which translated into a 30 second story about a
dog. Thanks Lene we don't really mind you speaking in German, just
remember to take your clothes off!

3354 - 3371 Tully
Abby: British backpacker Tully, we shot at Cass's house, cos her own
house was infested with cricket watching British backpacking boys
at the time. I do so love those green knickers.
3372 - 3377 Simone
Abby: This is the first ever shoot we did of Simone. I used fill flash
in the shade which is always a bad idea, but they still look great.
I guess that's cos she's such a damn fine lady!
3378 - 3385 Teresa
Abby: Special Assistant Gretchen is helping out with the lighting. While
that sun on the leaves of the grapevine looked great, it was not
going to last at sunset, so we took the shoot out to the lawn. We
ended up getting on to Elvaar's roof to get the final shots with
the pretty sunset.
Elvaar: That's not lawn, it's a weed farm. It's so hard to get a gardener
these days! This is probably the worst picture I have ever seen of
Gretchen. She's actually very pretty when she eats properly and
smiles, but I do wish she'd either ditch that cow ring or put a
leash on it. I'm pretty sure Gretchen has a crush on Abby.
3386 - 3403 April
Abby: We had a ladybug invasion for April's shoot, in Elvaar's backyard
jungle. Ever reliable, Elvaar pulled out his hose and gave April a
good seeing to.
Elvaar: Don't knock the hose, it's like a personality gun. April is a nice
girl and one of the pics she did for ishotmyself (that's
www.ishotmyself.com, folks) became our splash page.
3404 - 3433 Samantha and Tully
Abby: These two post British backpackers were best buddies after going
through all of high school and travelling around the world
together. As you can see from these outtakes, this shoot was a
hoot. All the shots of them looking off-camera are cos they can see
a reflection of themselves in a window. Old pal of mine Dekoda sent
me a shirt for a a place he used to work for or something, and we
pulled it out for this shoot. That was a "small" as well.
3434 - 3444 Bess Redux
Abby: Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she sure is pretty, I shot
Bess in Cass's spare bedroom using my fave, natch light (hence the
slow shutter speed, motion blur). It just makes everyone look so
damn nice... The skin on her boobs is peeling cos she went topless
sun bathing, hussy!
3445 - 3449 Sara
Abby: Elvaar insisted I shoot Sara, at the time I was totally against it, cos she was so
big. But like most of Elvaar's ideas, it turned out great in the
end. This shoot and model were very popular.
Elvaar: I don't know how anyone could not find this girl irresistably
cute, with those big puppydog eyes. I think doing this shoot gave
her a lot of confidence.
3450 - 3464 Anna O
Abby: Cass was interviewing this day, and Lizzie was available to come
and help out, so she did. I had a go with the off-camera flash for
this series, and it looks totally weird.

3242 - 3274 Alicia D
Abby: Crikey, what a character. As we sometimes do, we shot both of
Alicia's shoots on the same day, one down at her communal pool, and
one here in her bedroom. She's one of those girls who loves to
shop, and had so amny clothes for us to choose from, so we took
advantage of that. Then we moved to her bed, and did the shoot
proper. I remember this was a Friday night and we were working
late. Cass found beers and grapes in the fridge, and proceeded to
heckle us relentlessly throughlout the shoot. As so often seems to
happen, Alicia's mum called in the middle of the shoot.
3275 - 3289 Sam
Abby: Sam lived with Tully and about six british backpacker boys in
Bondi. Cass shoo'd them out of the house, and we shot Sam alone,
and the classic shoot of Sam and Tully together. I hung up a white
reflector board in a tree to get a highlight, and I think this
woked really well (apart from the annoyingly shallow DOF).
3290 - 3300 Liiza
Abby: Ah, our second shoot for 2003. Liiza's flatmate Alice was the
first, and hour before this. Some of those sneers are for real... I
found it very hard to deal with Liiza on her own, but she did a
good job all told. I love the light in this shoot, natural thru a
window cannot be beat.
3301 - 3312 Renae
Abby: Ohh. Renae got on our bad side by slagging off our country on
video, but she did a good job on this very hot day, so I'll cut her
some slack. We shot this on the same day as the GG shoot with
Ellen.
3313 - 3353 Alice and Liiza
Abby: We shot this on the same day as their two solo shoots, and they
did a great job. The pics of them grumpy at the start are just me
testing the light. They were not really that grumpy!
