    4222 - 4240 Simone
    Abby:
I can't say enough nice things about Simone, she a great girl though quite shy. We shot this on a sunny sunny day at Cass's house in her spare room. I think I was a little heavy handed with the flash, woulda been nicer to see more of that direct sun.

    4241 - 4255 Daisy
    Cass:
Because it's so cruisey at aw.com, I sometimes forget my manners and talk really relaxed and often blatantly to the models. This is mostly a good thing as it encourages an easy going vibe and builds a good rapport with our models. But I don't think poor Daisy was very impressed when I cracked up laughing at her old fashioned name and started singing 'Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer true. I'm half crazy....". After that she started calling me Crass.

    4256 - 4274 Kerry K
    Jamie:
Abby, Elvaar and I were driving out to Kerry's. We were feeling rather pleased that the shoot was so close by. When we arrived in the street we started looking for the place "no. 34 no. 36 no. .... no. .... there is no number 38!" so we got out and started to walk around trying to find this place. I had to call Kerry up and ask her to come outside and meet us. After 5 minutes of waiting I thought I should check the address. Oops I meant the other side of Melbourne (it's a North Melbourne / South Melbourne thing. Who'd've thought there'd be the same street in both 'burbs?). So back in the car and another 30 minutes later we arrived at Kerry's house.

Abby: Gosh doesn't Jamie look young in these pics!? Kerry found that cookbook down the back of the couch. She had been looking for it for the last year. She so owes us.

    4275 - 4288 Clarissa
    Jamie:
At the time I was upstairs doing a video with another girl while Clarissa was downstairs with Abby, Half way through Clarissa's shoot I had to lead this girl past Clarissa who had covered herself in a towel. Clarissa was also damn cold and was slowly going blue, I had to run back to the office and pick up a heater which she huddled under trying to get warm.

Abby: Without putting too fine a point on it, you can see an awfully long way into Clarissa's vagina (in her imageset).

    4289 - Danielle and Elizabeth
    Cass:
Come on! As if you wouldn't pair up the two most adorable girls on the Abbywinters site. Obviously real favourites with Abby herself, we got Elizabeth along to the studio and took her around to visit Danielle at her little apartment. We could only hope the two would be good buddies, and as you can see, we got more than we hoped for.

Abby: Well, not as MUCH as we would have hoped for... but they look gorgeous all the same, right?

    4095 - 4107 Sasha
    Jamie:
We had to travel soooooo far to get to Sasha's house and then when we got there we look at this huge block of apartments and one had this metal cage around the door and fat metal bars across the window. Me and Abby were walking around trying to find the apartment. We knocked on one door and no one answered. Finally we had to get Sasha to come out and get us. Abby asked me to drive the car in closer while she went inside to check the place out. As I got in the car some Arabic bloke came running to the car waving. He thought I was a real estate person. After convincing him (this took a while) that I wasn't the real estate person and no, I had no idea where she is. I quickly drove off to find Abby only to find that I had no idea which set of flats they went into. Finally Abby came and rescued me.

    4110 - 4117 Collette
    Cass:
I really like Collette. We've kinda stayed in touch since the shoot, but she lives ages away from me, so it's not so realistic. I liked her because of the real and matter-of-fact way she presents herself. During her shoot on the beautiful Hawksbury River (where that fricken sting ray got me) Collette was a shining star. Not only way she super helpful and lovely, but she did a really sexy shoot, and genuinely got herself quite excited. It was a hoot and she was a pleasure to have on board (ha).

    4118 - 4134 Zana
    Jamie:
Zana had a bit of a hangover that morning when she came over for a shoot. She had been partying all weekend which she tells us about on the video. That day I had a heap of girls coming in so I was quite busy getting them all set up and going. The shirt Zana is wearing used to be her mother's which she met Zana's father in. Interesting.

    4135 - 4153 Sharon
    Abby:
Sharon was the last model we shot in Sydney, just a day before we moved cities to Melbourne in July 2003. The studio was a mess, so we pushed two sofa's together, and I stood on a ladder and got her to roll around while undressing.

Cass: I couldn't help but call Sharon 'Shazza' throughout her shoot. It's such an Aussie abbreviation of her name, and being a kiwi who constantly gets bagged out for my funny accent, it was irresistible not to do the same with such a good opportunity at hand. Sharon had a blast doing this. You could just tell. She's kinda chilled and quiet, but I could tell she liked all the attention. And we liked giving it to her.

    4154 - 4161 Joanne
    Abby:
We did this short sharp shoot right after Joanne did a truly awesome girl-girl scene with a model who later changed her mind and insisted on buying her photos back. We were all reallllly tired by the end of this day, and it shows on Joanne's face, though she sure tried hard to beat it and succeeds in looking cute as a button.

    4162 - 4170 Mez Marge
    Jamie:
I was driving the boat during the shoot and it was one of the first so I hadn't gotten quite into the swing of things yet and we had just gotten past driving around in circles (to Abby's great relief). Abby goes "Ok Jamie drive at 30 degrees to the sun and keep going straight very slowly." "Ok I can do that." So here we went driving straight into a parking area for other boats. "Abby I'm gonna have to turn a bit, ok. I think we might hit a boat." Maybe I should have said something sooner because we ran into the boat it wasn't a head on just a side swipe. But the boat was ok and luckily there was no one inside.

    4171 - 4197 Danielle
    Jamie:
Every thing went quite smoothly with Danielle. She's such a spunk. Danielle used to do gymnastics and is quite flexible so we got her to run through a warm up session and boy it got so hot she had to take off all her clothes. Oh Woe.

    4198 - 4221 Liana
    Jamie:
I took Abby and Liana to the local scout camp that I went to when I was a lass and showed them down an obstacle course in the rain forest. The sun was getting low and the light was minimum so we had to keep moving around during the shoot to get as much sun light as possible. If you stayed still long enough you could almost hear the leeches crawling towards us. Liana was a great sport and loved running around naked in the bush at one stage we got Liana to get up in this tree and for that she needed a bit of a boost from me, something happened and we both fell to the ground in the mud. Jeez we had fun.

    3981 - 3988 Kasey
    Cass:
Ah! The girl that mysteriously disappeared. We have no idea what happened to Kasey. We had her scheduled in to do a video with us, and boom-fa, she never showed. Admittedly we were a little frustrated, but obviously more concerned about where the lovely Kasey could be. She's the sweetest little peach and I was genuinely surprised at her actions. It seemed out of her character. And still, to this day we don't know what became of her. "Kaseeeeeey, come baaaaaack".

    3989 - 3994 Day 1 Morgan
    Cass:
Morgan's from Canada. I guessed she must have come from a snow town like me, as she had all the alpine gear, backpack, polypropylene clothing, the snazzy water bottle and stuff like that. She's the kind of girl that takes it all in her stride and nothings ever really a big deal. If you haven't guessed, they're my favourite kinda models. It was lucky we shot her when we did. She's in another continent now.

    3995 - 3997 Simone
    Abby:
Cass and I shot this set of Simone right after the first one, cos we knew we were on to a good thing! I got Cass on the silver reflector board in a patch of sunlight 20 feet away, and I stood on a rock. I wanted to get her, the tree and the water all correctly exposed, and I kinda got there...

    3998 - 4008 Sonja
    Cass:
Sonja, Sonja, Sonja. The lady with the groove. This woman is fully styling. She swings in, flicks her hair out of her eyes, claps her hands and goes, "Right team, let's get down to business!". Hang on a minute. That's my line baby! Not in this case. She's young, beautiful, and she's travelled the circumference of the world all on her own. This time it was me who was gob smacked by this worldly gorgeous woman. Wonder where she is now?

Abby: My, Cass's hair sure is orange here...

    4009 - 4027 Gwen
    Cass:
I got the impression that Gwen was one of my favourite kinda girls. All strong and womanly and sure of herself. During her shoot she told us all about her work and why she was leaving. She mentioned she needed a little work to fill in the space between jobs, so we offered her a bit of stuff around the studio to help her out. She did one day and we've never seen or heard from her again. I felt a little disappointed.

Abby: This is very close to the same bluff where we shot Lene - and Casey's first shoot. Danger.

    4028 - 4030 Natalie
    Cass:
Ah! The chick with the extra nipple. Seriously man! Look through her shoot. See that thing under her right titty? That's a wannabe nipple right there, it is. She told us herself. When we rocked up at this little clovers house, she had all her female flatmates lined up on the sofa. Worst thing was that, one was her friend she came in for the interview with and who we rejected. It kinda feels weird when that happens. What's worse is that the poor friend followed us around at first thinking we'd come to shoot her too (even though I'd told her straight), and was totally bummed when we shot Natalie and went home again. Man, it's not as easy doing this job as you think.

    4031 - 4054 Viktoria
    Jamie:
This girl is an interesting one. She can speak fluently in several languages and has a great knowledge on governmental systems. Viktoria and Abby got into an in depth discussion about governments and what part of them do and do not work. Abby got so distracted in the conversation that she forgot to take the photos. I stay out of political discussions. I don't know enough and I don't vote either so I stay out of these debates.

    4055 - 4067 Alexandra
    Jamie:
After advertising in a small city just outside of Sydney, we did some interviews. We may of had a poor turn out but that is where we met Alexandra. We went for a trip down the coast to Alexandra's house, we went on a stunning drive and the area was so lovely we didn't want to leave. I lead Abby to the completely wrong set of apartments after getting the flat no. and the street no. mixed up. Abby was angry, but she can deal.

Abby: Yes. I wonder where she hid the kid while we were shooting?! I totally messed up the white balance on this shoot, in an effort to get the oudoors to look blue, the foreground looks too yellow. Idiot.

    4067 - 4077 Penny
    Abby:
Ooh, lookee! That's the Sydney harbour bridge, that is. Always seems to be a cloudy day when I am shooting with that in the background... I forgot to take the video camera to this shoot, so poor Cass had to trot allll the way back along the path and up the hill to get it. That was the first day Cass shot video, which she did to some extent after. She was limited by not having her full drivers license.

    4078 - 4094 Elise Redux
    Jamie:
We like Elise so much we just had to invite her back again this time for a slumber party. We had planed to have Elise's friend come as well but they had a fight over a boy and the other girl didn't show. bitch. But that was ok because we still had Elise there ready to party in her PJ's... and out of her PJ's.

Abby: Bottle tan strikes again! There's something in my flash heads that makes bottle tan go extraextraextra yellow. Yuk.

    3880 - 3897 Tania
    Cass:
Did I tell you that Tania came into her interview with her MOTHER?!. Both real suburbs girls, and apparently, it was, 'their little secret', and Dad was not to know. Of course I found it kinda funny that they willingly gave me Dad's email address as a form of contact. Right?!? She's not a great communicator Ol' Tania. I asked her when we were organising her interview, "can I give you the address Tania", and she curtly replies, "Yeah, spose, If ya want". You would never guess from her ultra peachy shoot would you?

    3898 - 3912 Helen
    Jamie:
We went out to Helen's place which she was staying at while she played around Sydney. The place was this one huge room and had a great view of the harbor. Helen had been staying in it for free for three months I was so envious. The natural light was great in the room and we ended up using a white sheet to reflect the sun light on to Helen but as the day moved on the light moved around and I ended up holding the sheet up for a good half an hour. Geeze the things I have to do...

    3913 - 3936 Ella
    Jamie:
Day 2 of our river trip. I'm was left on the boat to do a video of Bev while Abby and Ella went to the beach, but I spent most of the time screaming at the camera. So Bev and Marge went up on the top of the boat to sun bake. I did some video with Ella a few weeks later in the changing rooms of some department store. That was fun. We where lucky we didn't get busted.

Abby: Don't ever let Ella drive anything. When ever Ella got behind the wheel we ended up going round and round in circles. You wouldn't belive how hard it is to drive a boat, I could hardly blame her! During one of the shoots Ella got to keep an eye out to make sure we didn't drift to close to the shore. We had a great time talking and watching the shore come closer... She should have been talking less and watching more, I think. Luckily, the hole in the hull was not that big.

That's Bev stripping off on the boat for our benefit, with Marge joining her. Hussy!

    3937 - 3975 Rani redux
    Abby:
    Oh christ.

    Elvaar:

    3976 - 3980 Kimberly
    Jamie:
We knew it was a bad idea to shoot Kimberly when we offer her a drink, and she downed it in one swig! We had a tipsy Kimberly on the edge of a cliff. Trouble waiting to happen...

Abby: When we picked up Kim at the appointed meeting place, she seemed to be travelling light... Her mobile phone and nothing else! We got about half way there Kimberly goes "ooops" - "Ooops what, dude?!" - "I left my clothes with my friends" so we turned around and went all the way back. We still did the shoot and we got some fantastic light.

    3774 - 3779 Harriot
    Cass:
As you might have wondered, Abby and I tossed up whether to shoot Harriot as she has a real problem with acne on her face. Absolutely spunky as babe, hot bod, great boobs, swell personality, but blatantly aggressive acne on her face. We didn't think, when we weighed up the whole equation, that it was reason enough not to let us all rejoice in the splendor of her obvious beauty. And at the end of the day, that's what it comes down to. Why are you a member here? Because you wanted to see real people! Right on!

Abby: I had some probs with the light on this shoot, and ended up making the classic amateur mistake without even realising it: slow shutter speed with fill flash, when there is a lot of ambient (bad, bad, bad!). In my defense, I was using a particularly shit flash system... In hindsight, I shoulda stuck with natural light...

    3780 - 3842 Lizzie, Morgan & Collette
    Abby:
Luckily, these girls hit it off (sometimes when we get a group together, they don't, and it can show). We still had to come up with activities that show off the gals, and that's why you hear me bleating about it all the time on the boards. This shoot worked ok. Collette loved to chase the ducks. Why does Lizzie always seem to have a beer in her hand?

Cass: We saw a little octopus in the water and puttered around in the dinghy before making camp for a little bit on a secluded beach. The whole houseboat we had for our shoots was totally decked out. It had everything...including a little shower. The girls were freezing by this stage. The sun was setting and they'd been in the water for a good few hours. We thought we'd be nice and put them in the shower together to warm each other up. Check out Colette's foot in the last group pic - she is SUCH a poser!

    3843 - 3858 Belinda
    Elvaar:
So Abby is coming to town to shoot and she says "come up with about 40 shoot ideas for us". Being that it's Autumn I figure what could be more natural than a girl frolicking in the fallen leaves? So I get out in the street and grovel with my shovel to collect bagfuls of the things and what does Abby do? Tip them out on the freakin' floor and shoot indoors.

Jamie: For Belinda's shoot Elvaar collected a bunch of autumn leaves and put them in a plastic garbage bag. Some of the leaves must have still been wet. When we arrived almost all the leaves were dampish, and we couldn't have our beautiful Belinda rolling around in cold damp leaves! We sat around considering how the hell you dry a large bag of damp leaves.

Ok, the concept was this - we get a blow heater, pile them in a corner, and then let the heater blow the dry ones to the back, leaving the damp behind to get more heat. Well it kinda worked. The blow heater dried them while I sat there turning them over, and to top it all off I got to clean up the mess twice - once after drying the leaves and once after we had Belinda rolling around in them. Anyone would think that I'm a cleaner! :)

    3859 - 3879 Elise
    Jamie:
We went for a trip to Melbourne and by god was it cold. But as soon as Elise got into the room the place heated up. I had only talked to Elise on the phone and was expecting someone entirely different than the person that I opened the door too. Elise was so small and so cute that she was better that what I had imagined. Elise can still fit in to children clothes. Not long after the shoot Elise joined us on the boards and chatted almost everyday. Everybody fell so head over heels in love with her that we were forced to push her shoot forward.

    3669 - 3690 Gretel
    Cass:
Oh boy! This shoot was so funny. We went to quite a public beach, and at first I was shocked that Gretel and Marta agreed as they seemed a little conservative. Man, I couldn't have been more wrong. During Gretel's shoot, all the navy boys were out training, and decided to come in for a closer look. I freaked thinking Gretel would spin out. Wrong again! She loved it! Loved the attention, and loved being handled by a bunch of muscley navy babes. Lucky girl!

Abby: Again with the fill flash, and I think it works really well here. I was up to my waist in the water, and Cass was holding the boat so Gretel did not fall over with the waves as they came in. Those Navy dudes on their training exercise scared the bejesus out of me. That's their boss on the ducky coming back to make sure there's no danger to national security. Not sure where the crusty old fishermen went, but they were nowhere to be found after the shoot...

    3691 - 3720 Bron
    Jamie:
Bron is one of those real cute shorties. We had to get her to stand on a rock to be near the same height as me. We took this gorgeous young lady to a secluded beach. We asked her if she didn't mind being arrested for indecent exposure as we drove down past a police academy and got out to hike the rest of the way to the beach. On the beach a few people sun baked topless and an old man got around in a thong (eeieew). We'll Bron is a trooper and smiled all the way through.

Abby: This is the same beach where we shot Kellie (backstage 34), and Sonja (backstage 37). That damn waterfall was dry every time we came to this location, but we were lucky with a trickle this time. If only we coulda gotten there in Spring, it woulda been gushing and extra-pretty. Or maybe this was Spring, cos I remember Bron being cold... Fil-flash for the stuff in full sun, then natch light for the stuff under the trees. Gosh, doesn't Jamie look young?

    3721 - 3745 Jamie and Gabrielle
    Jamie:
Gabrielle and I got on like a house on fire. In fact, we did set the house on fire. It was so hot in that room under the lights and then making the hot sexy love, we were really sweating heaps. So much so that we could slip and slide all over each other. Part way through the shoot the water main outside on the street burst. We had to call a stop while we waited for them to fix it because it was making lots of noise. We should have gone running under it to get cooled off.

Abby: Hey, there's a shoot in that! This was probably our best GG pairing up to date. No matter how hard we try (nor how many times, it seems) we can't come close. It was a flash of inspiration Cass and I had late one night driving home from a shoot. I don't remember who our original plan to shoot Gabrielle with was, but I am glad we ditched it. This park stuff was shot on the corner of Broadway and City Rd, near the heart of Sydney.

VidDude: I had wanted to do a hand-holding shoot in a public Park for ages. Originally I wanted to do it in a park that coincidentally is near our current Melbourne studios, but this one was filmed in Sydney, so I figured this park, near my local Supermarket, was almost as good. Unfortunately it was a bit of a grey day, and there also happened to be an entire primary school swimming meet on at the pool in the Park. Luckily, there was no nudity in these scenes to frighten them.

If you look at the video, you'll see the traffic going past in the shot of them leaning on the tree. I wish I'd moved the camera a little over to the side and blocked the traffic out. That's my only regret, as the rest of the shoot was brilliant. Jamie and Gabrielle were perfectly natural together. And it was coming back from this shoot that we offered the job of working for us to Jamie. Another devilishly smart move by us.

Cass: To tell you the truth, I didn't really see much of the action during this shoot. Gabrielle's room was kinda pokey and I couldn't fit in with Vid Dude and Abby plus the two girls, so I sat in the living room and patted the cat, and read my book. I was there however, for the whole pre sex shoot where they went walking in the park. That was cool. I noticed that the two of them clicked immediately and I even began to wonder if they realised that the rest of us were even there.

    3746 - 3755 Marjorie
    Abby:
Another of Elvaar's brilliant ideas, the early-morning-lolling-on-the-bed look. Like all his others, this one worked perfectly (tho for some reason I was skeptical at the time, again, as I often am). I guess the hose must have been broken that day...

    3756 - 3761 Alexandria
    Cass:
Alexandria arrived during our Russian crusade. For some reason we got this massive influx of Russian chicks lining up to get their gears off for us. Awesome! Alexandria rented a little unit out the back of a families house in Sydney, and had the most incredible spot in the sun. She had the most intense little dog though. One I was hanging to strangle or fling across the room. And this squealing little guinea pig in a box in the kitchen that the dog was intent on joining with. Hmmm? Good shoot anyway.

    3762 - 3773 Alicia
    Jamie:
I didn't know Alicia before she got pregnant. But I sat in on this set with her. All I could think of was, how could you shave your pubic hair while you're that pregnant you couldn't see what your doing?! Alicia told me that it's really getting to be a problem at the moment. Understandable.

    3564 - 3614 Annabel and Briana
    Cass:
Phew! Again, a real tricky one. Briana did such a confident job on her own, and little Annabel did such a great job with Jamie, that we thought we'd made a heavenly match. The truth was however, that Briana had never even kissed another girl, let alone licked her pussy, and Annabel sensed her tension and reciprocated in the same fashion by sorta clamming up. In a way, it was kinda cute, how they both felt so nervous, but for us, at the ready, expecting roaring solid passion, it was a bit disappointing. What's more, we hoped to hit the beach with the two girls, and it started pissing with rain. Oh well, you do what you can? We made the most of a conflicting situation, and hope you can do the same.

VidDude: I did like my last minute idea of them getting out of the rain, as opposed to the sunbathing on the beach we had originally planned. The whole towel-drying sensuality angle was quite cool. And we had to drive around and around to find a good location for the exterior shots, which eventually ended up being a park next to the harbour, where many very expensive private yachts were moored.

    3615 - 3631 Kate E
    Cass:
I had no idea that Kate E had the potential to be such a flirtatious and vivacious little naughty. She seemed so cute and sweet at her interview, and although I was obviously pleased that she was more than willing to do explicit poses for our beloved members, I didn't imagine she'd be so lolly mouthed when she so kindly wrote to us all. The coolest thing about Kate is that you could tell she genuinely got her kicks from her shoots with us. I think that rocks!

    3632 - 3653 Helena
    Elvaar:
I remember this was a hot day and we parked the car too far away and had to carry all the flash gear up a hill. Helena had just kicked out her psycho flatmate (jeez, do you blame him? Look at her!) so we were on notice that he could storm in at any moment and may be dangerous. Those are not the easiest conditions to work under, but fortunately Abby knows several martial arts including bok choi, tai chi and origami so I felt quite safe. Anyway she still ranks, in my opinion, among the most naturally beautiful of all models on the site. Not Abby, the model.

    3654 - 3668 Annabel Redux
    Jamie:
It was a happy reunion for both me and Annabel after not seeing each other since our girl-girl shoot in December '02. Nearly a six months later we got to catch up over a few beers, a smoke, and a photo shoot. Annabel's been really getting into the rave scene now, owning a couple of turntables and a mixer. She was delighted to play us one of her tapes that she had mixed. Abby tried not to look disgusted but you could see her relief when the tape finished. I think we'll just stick to Madonna.

    3465 - 3473 Casey Redux
    Jamie:
Casey was cool to do insertions and so we decided well shoot it. We pulled out our dildo kit and let Casey pick and choose. I think she was a little shocked with the size of some of them so she went for the small still great, "lady finger". Then we blasted Madonna and went on our merry little way.

We love Casey at AW HQ. She's such a funny girl as you will see. Instead of us telling jokes to her she was telling them to us and had us rolling around on the ground laughing. It's girls like Casey that makes our job even better than it is.

Um, Casey I believe that is a dildo not a knife.

    3474 - 3492 Kellie
    Abby:
Cass and I took Kellie to an awesome little back beach of the famous Manly in Sydney. Mid afternoon on a cloudy but warm summer weekday, it was almost totally deserted, and of course Cass went for a swim while I shot Kellie. We went up in the hills above the beach for the bulk of the shoot, some quintessential Aussie bush there.

Cass: We're lucky we shot her when we did, because she's so damn hot, and when we immediately called her in for a redux, she was gone. She's in Asia some where now on her big O.E. Good for her. I think I mentioned it in her shoot bio, but on the day of her shoot there was a couple having a D & M (deep and meaningful) on the rocks down on the beach just near where we were shooting. The girl seemed to be having some emotional issues and they were talking it through. When her boyfriend went to give her a hug he noticed up as he was facing in our direction as he squeezed his girl. The girlfriend was obviously pleased that he gave her an extra prolonged hug and started getting all fuzzy and schmoozie, but at the same time slightly distracted. You can imagine the venom she spat at him when she turned and busted him gawking straight up at the gorgeous Kellie. Busted!

    3493 - 3508 Becs
    Cass:
Bec's was bloody hard one. Don't be mislead by that natural vibrant smile. She was a nightmare to get smiling. I was horribly exhausted by the end of it, and totally out of crappy jokes to get her laughing. Ended up having to flash my tits behind Abby's back to get her to show her pearly whites. All the same it was good fun and especially nice to be hanging out in such a serene location. That's Sydney city in the background, you can juuuuust see the Bridge.

    3509 - 3518 Candii
    Abby:
So I had this wacky idea of doing a trad glam porn shoot, and Candii insisted on wearing a wig on her shoot or it was a no-go, so I gave it a go in this retro office dócor. I got a friend who specicialises in glam shoots to style her for me. Dunno if it works, but it was fun!

    3519 - 3424 Marta and Gretel
    Abby:
What a whirlwhind day this was. Cass and I took Marta and Gretel to a deserted secluded beach we had found on a previous shooting expidition. Of course, when we rocked up, there were fisherman fulling in nets and stuff. We tried to fake them out by waiting, but they looked like they had a lot to do, and the girsl were getting braver, so we just started shooting (Marta solo, first, see below). Then Gretel in the boat (coming in backstage 36), then them together, before we left to go home.

There was this weird square rock-pool, totally overgrown with barnacles, perhaps somone's old wading pool? It was filled with soft sand and very clean, so we chose it for the shoot of them together. Pairs of backpackers are so easy to do these kinds shoots with, I can almost hold the shutter button down at 8 FPS, and everything going to be good stuff! As I was shooting in full sun, however, I had to use fill-flash, and the poor thing could not keep up with my usual shooting speed. I did about 250 frames in four minutes, then the flash died totally.

While I was trying to get it working, the girls all relaxed in the pool, til I called it quits. Still a good shoot, even if it does end a little abruptly. I now try to use natural light only (or with reflector boards), for action GG stuff, so there's no risk of a gear failure.

Cass: Marta rocked up with her friend Gretel, for an interview. Obviously tourists, and for your information, German. The two of them nearly sent me bonkers at the interview. They were so hyper and giggly. It drove me nuts. However, at the shoot the two did great jobs. Marta was definately the tougher of the two, easily hopping and skipping over the rocks whilst poor fragile Gretel tip toed and hobbled cautiously from stone to Stone, lagging more than 100 meters behind. Still, that's what makes best buddies and I think Gretel liked having strong reliable Marta to keep her safe.

    3525 - 3531: Lizzie redux
    Abby:
Ah, the houseboat. Christ, what a lot of work this was! We hired a houseboat for three days, sailing around a large river system near Sydney. It was about 1.5 hours drive from the centre of town, that annoying distance to commute, but not far enough away to justify accomodation (or the nightmare of logistics of getting around a dozen models and staff fed and bedded for the duration). So, we commuted with 8am calls at the studio each day. This was the first time Lizzie decided to do some more explicit stuff. Lizzie is still up there as one of the models we have shot the most for the site (Annabel, and Elizabeth are up there as well).

It was a lot of hard work this trip, but it turned out really well. More notes coming in subsequent backstage raves. This was the first day...

Cass: Do you guys remember my first shoot? That was when I first met Abby and the team, and... when I first met Lizzie! I was driving up the coast with a girlfriend and blew a tyre. We pulled into this tiny little wop wop mechanics in the middle of no man's land to get the valve fixed and there was Lizzie with Felicity. They'd blown the motor on their combi van. We made a wise crack about how we probably met for a reason and then went on our merry way again. By the time this shoot rolled around, Lizzie is my flatmate and done a series of shoots for the site. And I still can't get over her incredible body. She doesn't even work out. Sheesh girl!

    3532 - 3543 Day 1 Lizzie, Morgan & Collette
    Cass:
This would have to be one of my most memorable days working for Abby, and three of the best models to make the whole day so much fun. Lizzie, Morgan and Collette hadn't met before this day, and it turned out that the three of them got on like old buddies. This made the whole day such a success, and we spent most of it rolling around in fits of laughter. The only rule for the day was that we had to get the boat back to port before dark. Ooops! Abby got in SOOO MUCH trouble for that one from the boat hire place (it was cos she wanted to do those sunset shots of the group of us, miles away from where we were supposed to dock). Norty.

    3544 - 3552 Marta
    Cass:
Marta ad Gretel came hand in hand to their shoot. It was all or nothing with these loyal friends. Not that bothered us. We couldn't have picked a more gorgeous or sunny day, and the two of them were happy as Larry to be taken on a little tourist drive around other parts of Sydney. Marta loved doing a shoot with us, and because we shot her first, she spent the rest of the afternoon lazing in the sun like a seal. Good for you girl.

    3553 - 3557 Gwyneth
    Abby:
At a loss for locations, we shot Gwyneth in our funky (and recently refurbished) interview space.

Cass: I was quite sure that we wouldn't be shooting Gwyneth . You'd think I've know better by now, but for some reason I didn't think she would be Abby enough. Sheesh? You're probably wondering how many other girls I've turned away like Gwyneth eh? Well, don't be too concerned. I think my judgement is pretty good most the time, and anyway, we did shoot Gwyneth, who turned out to be especially cute and photogenic, and such a little sweetheart too, with her little lisp and baby doll smile.

    3558 - 3563 Lene.
    Abby:
We shot Lene on a massive bluff overlooking the Tasman Sea, near Bondi. We had previously shot a Mez model in the same location, and decided it was such a good place that we could get away with using it again at sunset. I was disappointed at the time, as there was a light cloud cover which massively reduced the contrast of all the pics, but in hindsight, I like the "airy" feel of these. A shot from this shoot was the front page image for this site for around 18 months.

Jamie: Lene is the cutest little German chick. Has anyone ever told you never to tell jokes to foreigners? Well it doesn't work something is always lost in the translation. Trying to tell Lene some of my jokes just didn't work and we spent more time explaining them then we did making her laugh. I think Lene just laughed to make us think we we're funny. We got Lene to have a chat to the camera. At first she was having a bit of trouble talking as she couldn't think what to say. So we asked her to tell us a story in German and translate it for us. So she started rambling on in German for at least 3 minutes non stop which translated into a 30 second story about a dog. Thanks Lene we don't really mind you speaking in German, just remember to take your clothes off!

3354 - 3371 Tully
    Abby:
British backpacker Tully, we shot at Cass's house, cos her own house was infested with cricket watching British backpacking boys at the time. I do so love those green knickers.

    3372 - 3377 Simone
    Abby:
This is the first ever shoot we did of Simone. I used fill flash in the shade which is always a bad idea, but they still look great. I guess that's cos she's such a damn fine lady!

    3378 - 3385 Teresa
    Abby:
Special Assistant Gretchen is helping out with the lighting. While that sun on the leaves of the grapevine looked great, it was not going to last at sunset, so we took the shoot out to the lawn. We ended up getting on to Elvaar's roof to get the final shots with the pretty sunset.

Elvaar: That's not lawn, it's a weed farm. It's so hard to get a gardener these days! This is probably the worst picture I have ever seen of Gretchen. She's actually very pretty when she eats properly and smiles, but I do wish she'd either ditch that cow ring or put a leash on it. I'm pretty sure Gretchen has a crush on Abby.

    3386 - 3403 April
    Abby:
We had a ladybug invasion for April's shoot, in Elvaar's backyard jungle. Ever reliable, Elvaar pulled out his hose and gave April a good seeing to.

Elvaar: Don't knock the hose, it's like a personality gun. April is a nice girl and one of the pics she did for ishotmyself (that's www.ishotmyself.com, folks) became our splash page.

    3404 - 3433 Samantha and Tully
    Abby:
These two post British backpackers were best buddies after going through all of high school and travelling around the world together. As you can see from these outtakes, this shoot was a hoot. All the shots of them looking off-camera are cos they can see a reflection of themselves in a window. Old pal of mine Dekoda sent me a shirt for a a place he used to work for or something, and we pulled it out for this shoot. That was a "small" as well.

    3434 - 3444 Bess Redux
    Abby:
Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she sure is pretty, I shot Bess in Cass's spare bedroom using my fave, natch light (hence the slow shutter speed, motion blur). It just makes everyone look so damn nice... The skin on her boobs is peeling cos she went topless sun bathing, hussy!

    3445 - 3449 Sara
    Abby:
Elvaar insisted I shoot Sara, at the time I was totally against it, cos she was so big. But like most of Elvaar's ideas, it turned out great in the end. This shoot and model were very popular.

Elvaar: I don't know how anyone could not find this girl irresistably cute, with those big puppydog eyes. I think doing this shoot gave her a lot of confidence.

    3450 - 3464 Anna O
    Abby:
Cass was interviewing this day, and Lizzie was available to come and help out, so she did. I had a go with the off-camera flash for this series, and it looks totally weird.

    3242 - 3274 Alicia D
    Abby:
Crikey, what a character. As we sometimes do, we shot both of Alicia's shoots on the same day, one down at her communal pool, and one here in her bedroom. She's one of those girls who loves to shop, and had so amny clothes for us to choose from, so we took advantage of that. Then we moved to her bed, and did the shoot proper. I remember this was a Friday night and we were working late. Cass found beers and grapes in the fridge, and proceeded to heckle us relentlessly throughlout the shoot. As so often seems to happen, Alicia's mum called in the middle of the shoot.

    3275 - 3289 Sam
    Abby:
Sam lived with Tully and about six british backpacker boys in Bondi. Cass shoo'd them out of the house, and we shot Sam alone, and the classic shoot of Sam and Tully together. I hung up a white reflector board in a tree to get a highlight, and I think this woked really well (apart from the annoyingly shallow DOF).

    3290 - 3300 Liiza
    Abby:
Ah, our second shoot for 2003. Liiza's flatmate Alice was the first, and hour before this. Some of those sneers are for real... I found it very hard to deal with Liiza on her own, but she did a good job all told. I love the light in this shoot, natural thru a window cannot be beat.

    3301 - 3312 Renae
    Abby:
Ohh. Renae got on our bad side by slagging off our country on video, but she did a good job on this very hot day, so I'll cut her some slack. We shot this on the same day as the GG shoot with Ellen.

    3313 - 3353 Alice and Liiza
    Abby:
We shot this on the same day as their two solo shoots, and they did a great job. The pics of them grumpy at the start are just me testing the light. They were not really that grumpy!
