    Crikey, what a crazy girl! No stop, all go.

    Cass: This kiwi is a bloody mad woman I tell you. Her energy levels are relentless and she was so hysterical it was hard to be serious at all. I'd never met Bronwyn before. She was a model that Susie interviewed before I came along, so I didn't know what to expect aside from what the notes Susie had written said. What were they again...? "Gorgeous, amazing smile, very funny, very cool chick."
    I have to admit that Susie was right, and after this shoot I found myself catching up for a yarn over the odd glass of wine with Bronwyn quite often. Perhaps because she's so exciting to be around, but the fact that she only lived around the corner from me might have made it easier too. Then she moved away, and I was gutted. She was only in that house for a short time. It was a great place and her and her girlfriend shared it, although it really looked like they were camping out. Typical Kiwis.

    I'm not really sure how this shoot ended up in Deviations, but at least it's on the site. We had terrible problems with this location - there are precisely NO power-points anywhere! I guess this is to stop people bringing in loud stereos or something, but it makes it damn hard to do a good photoshoot. We ended up having to increase the ISO (sensitivity) on the camera which means we can shoot in lower light... but also that the pics get grainy. We used a flash for some part of the sequence. All in all, I was disappointed at how this shoot turned out, but it's still good. One day I am gonna do a kick-arse pool shoot.

    VidDude: This pool is in the complex where I was living, and I didn't have permission from the Body Corporate to do such a thing as a photoshoot, let alone a nude photoshoot. I ran into another guy who lived there and he asked me point blank if I did have permission, and... I lied. Anyways, we got busted (almost) partway through when the cleaner arrived to check on something, but he didn't say anything (or see anything) and left quietly.

    This shoot was my idea, I wanted the swimsuit to be white, and to concentrate on the stretching and body-clinging, shape-conforming nature of the lycra, but it didn't really work out so well when it was dark-coloured. Oh well, maybe another time.

    Cass: Fiona had only just got back in the country when she came to see us for an interview. She was bored after her exciting time away travelling Europe and she didn't feel ready to commit to full time work. After finding out that one of her favourite hobbies was swimming at the beach and doing laps at the pool, we decided Fiona would be a fabulous candidate for a pool shoot.

    So, flashing her bronzed skin and ultra buffed physique, she showed us how much fun one girl can have in a big old pool. I'm pleased we shot her. Abby wasn't so sure at first, as she's a bit over the age we usually shoot, but then she decided it would be good after all. And warranted too. It was a great day for us, and I think it was good for liberating the glamorous Fiona who comes from a very structured and apparently opposing family. Not that she dared to tell.

    I saw her a few months later in the city, and she was looking ever-so-corporate in her business attire and point patent leather high heels. It seemed funny to think she's only been splashing around with us like a little girl just a few months before.

    2639 - 2650 Tess

    Tess is a much happier person than her scars would suggest. Actually there was a long and convoluted story about that, apparently involving some air conditioning ducts and a university lab, the details of which will soon be available in the court transcripts. No, really!

    You can see here in picture 2646 the new simplified microphone grip apparatus devised especially to Abby Winters specifications (patent pending). You should have seen the old one.

    Abby: Ah, Tess - what a mysterious girl. Always so happy and well spoken, but underneath... there's a lot more going on. She's one of those girls up for Everything, so I took advantage of Elvaar coming to Sydney for some other shoots, to schedule her in. We made a crude bedroom that does not fool ANYBODY in the studio (oh how I loathe studio shoots!)... but I guess that is ok as the focus is on the model anyway.

    Peeing on the bed is a pretty silly idea, but it was about all we could come up with in the studio. We put a plastic painting drop-sheet under the bed-sheet. Some of the most detailed and clear pee pics ever in Tess's shoot.

    Cass: In all honesty, it took me quite some time to stop being shocked and surprised at the type of content we were constantly shooting when I first started with Abby. I mean, we still shoot all the same goodness filled stuff now, but I'm used to it, and see it all as part of my day's work.

    When we shot Tess, I really wasn't prepared for the level of confidence she maintained through out her shoot. I appreciated it, but I don't think I was prepared. You wouldn't think that someone who looks so adventurous and experienced in this life could seem so gentle and sweet. With her arms adorned with self inflicted remnants of past experiences, and a colourful array of stories to match. At one stage we left Tess in front of a running video camera to get herself off. I could hear her heavy breathing and feel the tension fill the room as she peaked in her self inflicted climax. This was a real cruncher for me. Not to mention watching her piss her own bed and stand in it. Nevertheless, Tess turned out to be a regular sweet girl.

    I so love this shoot of Tali - drenched in sun on a lazy afternoon, I think the shoot works perfectly. The only problem is, as it was a sunset, the white balance changed pretty fast, so the pics started out ok, but she got yellower and yellower. Then the sun set, and I had to add a flash.

    We tried to get Tali back for more shoots, but like some models we shoot, she got her fill of the experience, and felt no need to do it again. She assured me she had fun, though. A shame for us, but I see what she means.

    I shot this with a low-power fill flash from the front, and let the daylight (overcast day outside) wrap around her. I am very satisfied with the light on these curves. :)

    Cass: Ellen's shoot took place at her best friends house. A tiny little studio apartment with a blocked toilet. The cat was neurotic and although the lovely boxed window seat made for an excellent shoot, we found it hard to settle into the whole thing due to the marauding congregation of filthy road workers sitting below on the park bench, eating their mince pies and getting their jollies from the fabulous view above. Poor Ellen. It's not meant to be that awkward doing a shoot for abbywinters.com. She was so cool about it all the same did a fantastic job, making use of her supple limbs and abundant bosom. She's hot stuff that Ellen. I guess that's why she came back for second visit, 'cept the next time was much more comfortable for everyone.

    I always find it really funny that the cutest most precious of our models are the funny little country girls who work in supermarkets and have only lived in the big city for 2 months before they find our posters enticing fearless femme's to come and face our camera. Isabella's a classic example of this. Sweet, cute, naive, terrible cussing mouth (native language), and a whole wardrobe full of our favourite cotton knickers and cute tops and bottoms. She's tooooo perfect.

    And best of all, she oozes with personality and humour. I loved being at Bella's shoot. It was the exact fresh and carefree kind of shoot that symbolizes our site. Perhaps we should take a drive out to the isolated towns of Northern New South Wales? Perhaps we'll find all Bella's pretty cousins and friends that are just a gorgeous as her? Now wouldn't that be a stroke of good luck!?!

    Awww! Amelia's tale is a sad one. This radiant spectrum of womanhood came to Australia all on her big brave lonesome, seeking freedom and free love to fulfill her wonder years and shape the rest of her life. She loved it here. She loved the people, the lifestyle, the food, and she loved us. And we loved her. The dilemma was though, that she had reached the end of her working visa and had to return to her home country of Israel. Nooooooooo! She had tried with all her heart to solve the problem, tried to be sponsored into the country, and even we assessed what possibilities there were for us a company to employ this herald angel. "But Abby, just think of how useful she'd be...um... doing... Stuff!?"

    But in all honesty, at the time there was no feasible way of incorporating the fairy winged goddess into our daily agenda and we had to, alas, bid her farewell and sigh a dismal sigh as she boarded her plane, bound for her home land, while we waved from the tarmac wishing once again that those sparkly fairy wings really could help her to fly and that we would see her again soon.

    As we did for Jamie, we did two shoots on the first day we went to Annabel's home, cos we knew we were on to a good thing. Annabel was nervous as heck for a lot of this first shoot, and that shows a little. She loosened up towards the end, and for her second shoot she had fun. Although Elvaar was in another city, we honored him by turning the hose on her for this sunny winter day.

    Lumpy girlcum - is that sexy?

    Cass: Oh sweet little Annabel. Apple of our eye and angel of our site. Where on earth did we find you? We think you fell from a star in the heavens and blessed us with your fragile beauty. You would never imagine she came for the western suburbs with no clue of what she was capable of and no preconceived notions of what nude modelling was. Ol' Cass got a little excited and decided to immediately take Annabel under her sturdy wing and keep her to ourselves. I have to admit that I got a bit of a shock when I opened my inverted ears to all that she declared she would be confident to do. It all seemed like such a contradiction. This sweet little girl being as naughty as she could. Hmmm?...WORKS FOR US!

    We wasted no time shooting Annabel, and on the day of our shoot Abby, VidDude, and I sat in the car working out the best way on the map to get to her house without getting lost. You have to remember she lives out in the sticks. Her house was perfect when we got there. Buster, her hyper active puppy was waiting impatiently at the gate so he could attempt to escape. Nice try Buster! Ha!

    And again, I spent most of the afternoon, playing with a model's dog, while Abby delighted in shooting her.

    VidDude: This was a nice day for a shoot. Annabel's backyard looked out over some very tall trees, and had tall hedges and fences around it, so it was quite private. Nevertheless, we were joking about why the male neighbour next door might make excuses to walk up and down his porch stairs all afternoon. "Oh I'll just go and check on the lawn mower! Hmm this railing needs a lick of paint! Gosh, the flowers are pretty today! I'll just stand here balanced on these steps while I look at... um... er... the guttering!"

    I seem to recall their being a bunch of freaky looking puppies living under Annabel's house.

    2525 - 2535 Lara
    Abby:
    Lara's playful personality shines through in this shoot. The pajamas were Elvaar's idea, and I must say, they worked wonderfully well. Just the right level of reveal. I usually try to expose for the outside as well as the model (it's brighter outside in the day time, so I need to use flash to bring the model up to match), but we decided to blow out the window, to give her this bathed-in-light look. I think it works well.

    Elvaar: I still say they are called Pyjamas, and the moment she stuck her pillow-impressioned head out the 1st floor window to greet us is one I'll never forget. Lara was a good model, smart girl and very definite about how her shoot would go. That always gives me instant respect for a model. She lived in this cool shared arrangement above a bottle-oh (purveyor of intoxicating substances) and kindly allowed us to use her balcony to shoot Rani one other time. She even made toast for us, bless her.

    2536 - 2563 Vanessa dev
    Abby:
    I had been wanting to do a ballerina shoot forever (before I got into this, I used to work as a lighting technician, and did work with several ballet companies in that capacity). Vanessa was perfect (and tiny!). I got out the hammer drill to mount the bar, and spent far more than deserved on the bar itself (we still have it, nice timber, too).

    Traditionally, most ballet is lit with side-light to enhance the musculature of the performers and show their lithe movements with maximum effect. I wanted to do that with this shoot, but I did not know enough about lighting to get what I want. The wall is lit far too well, and she's really too flat... but she's clearly spunky and flexible, and a bona fide ballerina, so what else do we need?

    A few points:
    • Ballerinas can wear whatever knickers they like on stage, so long as they do not show thru the costume (I asked).
    • Christ that rug is UGLY!
    • Hi, Opal.
    • Vanessa has THE BEST ARSE on this site, IMO.

      Cass: Vanessa's the dream all little girls hope to make a reality. Yet only few have the tenacity and guts to go the whole way. I couldn't believe we got a real live pro ballerina in our very own studio. I watched the whole shoot mesmerized. Totally inspired. She made it all look so easy. Abby had gone out and even bought a special bar to put up in the studio for the shoot. I was well impressed. These arty shoots are my favourite.

      I can imagine there'd be immense pressure in Vanessa's profession. When she came in we asked her to take off her makeup, and she told us she had. That's what you get from years of wearing stage make up. We ended up using makeup so looked like she does when she's performing on stage in a grand theatre. She looks like a princess either way. Cool shoot eh?

      Ah, the crazy Russian. Check out her finger nails!

      That's Cass doing her aeroplane impersonation... then wrestling Melly to the floor.

      Cass: Can you believe this model refused to smile at first because someone had once told her that when she did she looked ugly...and she believed them. Silly monkey. Melly was only over from Russia for 6 months on a student visa. For some reason, at that stage, we had a whole bunch of Russian chicks call all at once. It seemed pretty strange, as usually we have none call at all. Then I realised that it was due to the advertising we'd been doing around a predominately student based university. Lots of sexy Russian girls there.

      The cool thing was, that once we got Melly smiling, she couldn't stop. I think she was making up for lost time, and it looked like she felt like it was something she'd be doing a lot more of from then on. And so she should with a charming smile like that.

      2576 - 2612 Jamie & Annabel
      Abby:
      To date (October 2003), this is the best pairing we have ever made for a girl-girl shoot. Two downright spunky 18 year old models (who had never met before). In these shoots, we sometimes allow an alcoholic drink or two (never more), just to take the edge off a little. As you can tell, these two had great fun on this shoot, and those are the shoots I love. Their fun rubs off on me, and I work harder to capture the best stuff I can. I am really happy with this shoot, though less flat light would have been nice. We were starved for locations, so we shot this at VidDude's house.

      Cass: Gulp! This was the very first girl-girl shoot that I had attended since working at Abbywinters.com and I have to admit that I was probably feeling more nervous about it than the two models. In fact, if I may speak for them, I think they were really looking forward to the whole day. It immediately felt like they'd been best of buddies for years and this made things lots more comfortable for everyone. They were both very cute and giggly and so while Abby and VidDude were busy shooting, I kept myself amused reading a Jim Henson autobiography, while I blushed behind the pages, peeping out for a fascinated stare for a few moment and then retreating back behind the pages.

      The whole day was quite time consuming but action packed, and I found that before too long I was rushing out to buy lunch for the models and then back sorting out outfits and forms. At the end of the day, we walked the girls out into the street to show them the way to the train station, as we walked away, Abby and I shot a sneak peek back and found our models exchanging numbers. Abby winked at me and we chuckled all the way back to the car.

      VidDude: This was the debut of my house to be used as a location. As you can tell, I live a bare, solitary existence. The bed is actually Elvaar's contribution, it was arranged that we should have a bed specifically for shoots of this nature, and also for guests related to the business to stay in should they be in town. Hence the frilly nature of the bedstead.

      The shoot itself was done on a very sunny day, and in order to block out the direct sunlight we hung up a sheet in front of the window to diffuse it a bit. Unfortunately, because I wasn't too familiar with the video camera, it kept adjusting the exposure every time it looked towards the window, and I should've switched to manual each time such a move was made.

      The stills, though, which you can see here, are perfectly exposed.

      Jamie: Well, when I first found out I was going to be having sex with another girl for a shoot I was a little excited - I had never done anything like it before and was in very interested in how things went. When I first met Annabel I thought that she was really little and cute and I felt like a bit of a big beefy giant next to her. We had a couple of drinks and chatted about what we were going to do in the shoot and what clothes to wear.

      We did the stills first. Abby and Cass gave us some direction on what to do. At first there was a little fumbling around then we found our groove and kept going. One of the funniest ideas was to pull Annabel's undies off with my teeth. That was quite fun and we both got the giggles. Everytime I went to the toilet I had half a shower in respect to Annabell.

      At one stage when I was giving oral to Annabel and she farted! That was very funny. After we finished with the stills we had lunch and then went to go again for video. This was harder as we had to go without direction and remember the order that we had done things. By the end of the day I was exhausted, My hands were sore, my tongue was tired and I was ready for a sleep. Once we finished and packed everything up, we did the opening scene of us walking towards the camera. And afterward Annabel and I walked to the train station together chatting happily. Once we got there we said our goodbyes and thankyous and headed off in our different directions.

      When I got home I had a hot bubble bath and listened to music really loudly.

You have to remember she lives out in the sticks. Her house was perfect when we got there. Buster, her hyper active puppy was waiting impatiently at the gate so he could attempt to escape. Nice try Buster! Ha!

    And again, I spent most of the afternoon, playing with a model's dog, while Abby delighted in shooting her.

    VidDude: This was a nice day for a shoot. Annabel's backyard looked out over some very tall trees, and had tall hedges and fences around it, so it was quite private. Nevertheless, we were joking about why the male neighbour next door might make excuses to walk up and down his porch stairs all afternoon. "Oh I'll just go and check on the lawn mower! Hmm this railing needs a lick of paint! Gosh, the flowers are pretty today! I'll just stand here balanced on these steps while I look at... um... er... the guttering!"

    I seem to recall their being a bunch of freaky looking puppies living under Annabel's house.

    2525 - 2535 Lara
    Abby:
    Lara's playful personality shines through in this shoot. The pajamas were Elvaar's idea, and I must say, they worked wonderfully well. Just the right level of reveal. I usually try to expose for the outside as well as the model (it's brighter outside in the day time, so I need to use flash to bring the model up to match), but we decided to blow out the window, to give her this bathed-in-light look. I think it works well.

    Elvaar: I still say they are called Pyjamas, and the moment she stuck her pillow-impressioned head out the 1st floor window to greet us is one I'll never forget. Lara was a good model, smart girl and very definite about how her shoot would go. That always gives me instant respect for a model. She lived in this cool shared arrangement above a bottle-oh (purveyor of intoxicating substances) and kindly allowed us to use her balcony to shoot Rani one other time. She even made toast for us, bless her.

    I had been wanting to do a ballerina shoot forever (before I got into this, I used to work as a lighting technician, and did work with several ballet companies in that capacity). Vanessa was perfect (and tiny!). I got out the hammer drill to mount the bar, and spent far more than deserved on the bar itself (we still have it, nice timber, too).

    Traditionally, most ballet is lit with side-light to enhance the musculature of the performers and show their lithe movements with maximum effect. I wanted to do that with this shoot, but I did not know enough about lighting to get what I want. The wall is lit far too well, and she's really too flat... but she's clearly spunky and flexible, and a bona fide ballerina, so what else do we need?

    A few points:
    • Ballerinas can wear whatever knickers they like on stage, so long as they do not show thru the costume (I asked).
    • Christ that rug is UGLY!
    • Hi, Opal.
    • Vanessa has THE BEST ARSE on this site, IMO.

      Cass: Vanessa's the dream all little girls hope to make a reality. Yet only few have the tenacity and guts to go the whole way. I couldn't believe we got a real live pro ballerina in our very own studio. I watched the whole shoot mesmerized. Totally inspired. She made it all look so easy. Abby had gone out and even bought a special bar to put up in the studio for the shoot. I was well impressed. These arty shoots are my favourite.

      I can imagine there'd be immense pressure in Vanessa's profession. When she came in we asked her to take off her makeup, and she told us she had. That's what you get from years of wearing stage make up. We ended up using makeup so looked like she does when she's performing on stage in a grand theatre. She looks like a princess either way. Cool shoot eh?

      Ah, the crazy Russian. Check out her finger nails!

      That's Cass doing her aeroplane impersonation... then wrestling Melly to the floor.

      Cass: Can you believe this model refused to smile at first because someone had once told her that when she did she looked ugly...and she believed them. Silly monkey. Melly was only over from Russia for 6 months on a student visa. For some reason, at that stage, we had a whole bunch of Russian chicks call all at once. It seemed pretty strange, as usually we have none call at all. Then I realised that it was due to the advertising we'd been doing around a predominately student based university. Lots of sexy Russian girls there.

      The cool thing was, that once we got Melly smiling, she couldn't stop. I think she was making up for lost time, and it looked like she felt like it was something she'd be doing a lot more of from then on. And so she should with a charming smile like that.

      2576 - 2612 Jamie & Annabel

      To date (October 2003), this is the best pairing we have ever made for a girl-girl shoot. Two downright spunky 18 year old models (who had never met before). In these shoots, we sometimes allow an alcoholic drink or two (never more), just to take the edge off a little. As you can tell, these two had great fun on this shoot, and those are the shoots I love. Their fun rubs off on me, and I work harder to capture the best stuff I can. I am really happy with this shoot, though less flat light would have been nice. We were starved for locations, so we shot this at VidDude's house.

      Cass: Gulp! This was the very first girl-girl shoot that I had attended since working at Abbywinters.com and I have to admit that I was probably feeling more nervous about it than the two models. In fact, if I may speak for them, I think they were really looking forward to the whole day. It immediately felt like they'd been best of buddies for years and this made things lots more comfortable for everyone. They were both very cute and giggly and so while Abby and VidDude were busy shooting, I kept myself amused reading a Jim Henson autobiography, while I blushed behind the pages, peeping out for a fascinated stare for a few moment and then retreating back behind the pages.

      The whole day was quite time consuming but action packed, and I found that before too long I was rushing out to buy lunch for the models and then back sorting out outfits and forms. At the end of the day, we walked the girls out into the street to show them the way to the train station, as we walked away, Abby and I shot a sneak peek back and found our models exchanging numbers. Abby winked at me and we chuckled all the way back to the car.

      VidDude: This was the debut of my house to be used as a location. As you can tell, I live a bare, solitary existence. The bed is actually Elvaar's contribution, it was arranged that we should have a bed specifically for shoots of this nature, and also for guests related to the business to stay in should they be in town. Hence the frilly nature of the bedstead.

      The shoot itself was done on a very sunny day, and in order to block out the direct sunlight we hung up a sheet in front of the window to diffuse it a bit. Unfortunately, because I wasn't too familiar with the video camera, it kept adjusting the exposure every time it looked towards the window, and I should've switched to manual each time such a move was made.

      The stills, though, which you can see here, are perfectly exposed.

      Jamie: Well, when I first found out I was going to be having sex with another girl for a shoot I was a little excited - I had never done anything like it before and was in very interested in how things went. When I first met Annabel I thought that she was really little and cute and I felt like a bit of a big beefy giant next to her. We had a couple of drinks and chatted about what we were going to do in the shoot and what clothes to wear.

      We did the stills first. Abby and Cass gave us some direction on what to do. At first there was a little fumbling around then we found our groove and kept going. One of the funniest ideas was to pull Annabel's undies off with my teeth. That was quite fun and we both got the giggles. Everytime I went to the toilet I had half a shower in respect to Annabell.

      At one stage when I was giving oral to Annabel and she farted! That was very funny. After we finished with the stills we had lunch and then went to go again for video. This was harder as we had to go without direction and remember the order that we had done things. By the end of the day I was exhausted, My hands were sore, my tongue was tired and I was ready for a sleep. Once we finished and packed everything up, we did the opening scene of us walking towards the camera. And afterward Annabel and I walked to the train station together chatting happily. Once we got there we said our goodbyes and thankyous and headed off in our different directions.

      When I got home I had a hot bubble bath and listened to music really loudly.

    I hate this shoot. She's a very pretty girl, but we thought we'd try a little 'romantic' lighting and it didn't work out too well. Fortunately we redeemed ourselves with Kristy's shoot later in the day.

    Abby: Rebecca IS a pretty girl, but we got her on a bad day, cold-sores and bruises. Like Julie S, she lives life to the fullest each Friday and Saturday night, and in fact, she is a friend of Julie's S's. Bad white balance by me means he looks the wrong colour. Grrr.

    2399 - 2404 Lonnie

    You can always tell a farm girl by her hands. I guess that comes from tossing hay bales around, while us pussy city kids just have fat Nintendo thumbs. I ran into Lonnie in the pharmacy a few months later and we had one of those awkward "don't I know you?" moments. We said "hi", have each other a quizzical look and continued on our way. It was about an hour later the penny finally dropped for me - she's probably still wondering!

    Abby: Lonnie was terribly quiet and shy, but she had the thickest pubic hair I had ever seen in my life (and I have seen a lot). Bonds is an Aussie company that makes underwear and casual wear. pretty much every aussie girl (and guy!) will have at least a few pairs of Bonds jocks - renowned for being comfy, fitting, and spunky in a slightly dowdy way.

    2405 - 2414 Jeanette
    Elvaar:
    Jeanette is one of those cool shy chicks who gets more chatty as the shoot proceeds. When we noticed her piercing we asked her to tell us about it and to our hilarity she picked up a twig from the garden and started this whole corporate style presentation about My Vagina. The other cute thing about Jeannette is she's a 'blinker' - we found this out when we did an indoor shoot. Blinkers, as the word suggests, blink every time they hear the shutter go, and in Jeannette's case the reaction time is exactly right so her eyelids are shut when the flash fires. Bizarre.

    Abby: Due to her blinking, her set is a lot shorter than it could have been (many images were useless cos her eyes were closed). Jeanette reminds me of a character from an impressionist painting, with her milkmaid complexion, haunting eyes, and richly textured hair. We shot this in April in Melbourne, in Elvaar's back yard. You can see Jeanette wrapped in my doona while we took a quick break.

    2415 - 2428 Kristy

    Kristy is a skinny little slip of a thing. Check out the strange apparatus by her bed - we're totally unfamiliar with its application but we did also notice a somewhat more elaborate model in her cupboard, comprising no less than 6 chambers. The light was divine for this shoot, and she was a very chirpy model.

    Abby: Kristy is every bit the little rascal she comes across as being in her pics. A big Eminem fan, and flat-mate of Rebecca. We were going to do a girl-girl shoot of these two, but Something Happened when we were setting up that changed our mind, and we decided to leave. Ask Elvaar for the full story.

    Cool scar, lame location.

    Cass: The beauty of shooting backpackers, is that, in the peak season they are in abundance and bring with them the excitement of summer and free love. They feel sexy and invincible, and think we're the best thing since sliced bread, as we encourage this vibe. The problem with shooting backpackers is that they don't have their own bedrooms to do shoots in and we sometimes struggle to find suitable locations. In this circumstance we shot English Gillian in the confines of our studio. Obviously it wasn't a preferred location, but at the end of the day, it's more about the spunky naked woman in front of the camera, than the colour of her bedspread. She was a prime example of a woman with a vengeance. An intrepid explorer with a prime destination. I expected it to be the back of some sexy young Spanish mans Kombi van somewhere up the sunny north coast of NSW, but on this particular day, it was our studio, to do a shoot for us. Can anyone tell us what it is about English girls and their inability to contain their fits of giggling?

    Vid dude: Gillian was very self-conscious about her scar, and so naturally enough had never done anything like this before, but she actually was really quite confident. We had this idea of regularly hiring furniture to use in studio shoots, and Abby chose various types every few weeks. Sometimes she didn't make particularly inspired choices, but as we hadn't used the cane furniture yet, and as we had no other bright ideas, and as Cass had dutifully supplied us with such colourful props as a doorscreen thingy and some fake flowers, we went all out and combined them in one shoot. Upon reflection, perhaps we shouldn't've.

    We don't hire furniture anymore.

    2434 - 2446, 2447 - 2458 Tabbitha

    Have you ever SEEN a rosier glow? Tabbitha would have to be THE healthiest, happiest model I've ever worked with. And talk about sweet - she didn't understand why anyone would want to see her at all, let alone naked. The ball pit was a pet idea we'd had for a while. It was loads of fun, and predictably, a ball fight broke out. Abby wanted only two ball colours, and that have worked better, but finding 4000 plastic balls isn't easy. We hired them from a guy who usually does kids parties and when we told him what we were going to do with his ballpit he did the 'see no evil, hear no evil' thing. Phillistine!

    Abby: Tabbitha is one of my all-time fave models. Being Czech, she did not speak English very well, but she indicated she understood us well, and Elvaar and I had a ball on this, her first shoot. Looks like she had fun as well. I love shooting first-timers, you can tell how much of a thrill it is for them.

    I really like the ball-pit shoot. Something about seeing Tabbitha's bottom poking thru the balls as she rolled around got me very excited. Check out what the static electricity did to her hair! (this full shoot is in gold:Deviations).

    The thing with pee shoots is that just because the model is keen and I'm ready, does not mean we're going to get a good shoot. Some models let it gush with no problems, but for some models we have to wait up to half an hour making small talk and running a tap, to get their bodies to co-operate. Tabbitha thought maybe the familiarity of sitting on the loo might help, but it did not. Poor girl could barely stand after squatting over the basin for so long, but it was all in fun and we got some great pee pics. Tabbitha banished Elvaar from this scene, as she thought he'd be a distraction. To this day, he's still hurt about that.

    Huh? It feels odd writing about Jamie as a model, now that she's part of the family. I've lost all my bearings. But what I do remember is that everyone swooned the moment she stepped into the scene. Jamie is also one of the first models I ever interviewed and shot. She came into her interview wearing all this weirded out belly-dancing gear. I have to admit, I thought she was a little freaky at first, and she was exceptionally excitable. However, I soon learned that this is usually what makes a up all the qualities of a perfect Abby model.

    Abby was very excited about the introduction of Jamie, especially since she was so confident and agreeable. We like those kind of girls here.

    And now you all know about Nelson. He's the cute chubby pooch who made his way into the shoot because he needed to be close to his mama. Awww! I spent most of the time during Jamie's shoot being somehow sucked into scratching Nelson's fluffy belly. What a sucker I am.

    Jamie's house was very classic. It was a pretty old styled town house, which she shared with a bunch of skaters and people of like minds. Skating is of course one of her fave hobbies, and her passion for is shows...literally. Or should I say physically? You probably noticed the war wounds on her knees and arms. It's easy to forget what it's like to get all scratched up from being fearless and young.

    Another cool thing about Jamie that guaranteed her to be a successful Abby model, was her well acquired collection of ripped and truly well loved undies. Have you seen her shoot? If so, then you will surely have seen her collection of fave knickers. Nelson reveled in having a good sniff at them as she produced each priceless pair. Clever dog!

    The funniest part of the whole day was when Jamie tried to excuse herself for a moment to go to the toilet. We'd all been drinking cups of tea compliments of our lovely host and the time had arisen to relieve herself of the gallon or so of tea in her bladder.

    'Ask her about the pee scene,' Abby whispered hurriedly after me, as I chased Jamie down the hall, asking innocently if she'd like to pee for us in front of the camera. 'Like to?!' she exclaimed - good thing this sounded like loads more fun to Jamie than a boring old toilet anyway. Nice one!

    The whole day was a winner and very worth while... obviously, because not only did we gain a fabulous model for the site, but also an awesome extension to the family here at Abbywinters.

    Abby: The first thing I remember about Jamie was helping us find a carpark outside her home. The street was full, so she jogged along side the car to lead us to a back alley where we could park and unload the gear. I remember thinking, 'gosh, so nice to have a helpful model... but get in the car, we can give you a ride, you know?'

    The cuts and scrapes on Jamie are from an Incident, where she tied a rope to Nelson's collar, hopped on her skate board, and told him to run as fast as he can. He did, but it was an unfortunate bump in the pavement that caused the fun to end. Ouch. Nelson was unharmed - like all Australian Cattle Dogs, it's pretty much impossible to damage them.

    We knew Jamie was an excellent model, so we got her to do another shoot on the same day (we usually wait until the model is on the site before we organise a redux shoot).

    Jamie: When I first came in it was for my second interview that day, the last place I had been had just turned me down because my boobs weren't big enough (humph). So I made my way across the city to Abbywinters HQ all dolled up in my belly dancing gear, blushing from the cars tooting their horns. When I got to the door set I was flushed and nervous. Cass made me feel so welcome I instantly bubbled up into excitement at the idea that I was suitable and was what Abby was wanting. I must say when I was answering questions like "What is the state of my pubic hair?", "would I kiss another girl?" and "would I give oral?" I thought why not. I've never done anything sexual with another woman, why not experiment and get paid well for it?

    A couple of weeks later and I get a phone call... I was really nervous at the time Abby and Cass came for the first photo shoot but I was comforted by everyone's warm response. They liked my undies drawer and my puppy (isn't he cute). My boyfriend watched and was quite interested at how things happened and liked watching me masturbate. It was real fun.

    Jamie: When I first came in it was for my second interview that day, the last place I had been had just turned me down because my boobs weren't big enough (humph). So I made my way across the city to Abbywinters HQ all dolled up in my belly dancing gear, blushing from the cars tooting their horns. When I got to the door set I was flushed and nervous. Cass made me feel so welcome I instantly bubbled up into excitement at the idea that I was suitable and was what Abby was wanting. I must say when I was answering questions like "What is the state of my pubic hair?", "would I kiss another girl?" and "would I give oral?" I thought why not. I've never done anything sexual with another woman, why not experiment and get paid well for it?

    A couple of weeks later and I get a phone call... I was really nervous at the time Abby and Cass came for the first photo shoot but I was comforted by everyone's warm response. Initially, she was up for nude-only posing, but she opened up with Elvaar's witticisms (as girls often do), in many more ways than we anticipated. Julie S was up for Everything.

I remember getting annoyed with Abby for fiddling with this really annoying knick-knack on the side table instead of getting on with the shoot.

At first the direct sun was a real problem and Gretchen and I spent ages with sheets and pegs trying to rig a diffusing canopy but before long we had beautiful late afternoon light to get some good silhouettes, which I think are the highlight of the shoot. We would have liked to shoot Inge again but she moved on in her travels soon after this shoot.

    Abby: We shot Inge in Gretchen's back yard with natural light seeping thru a bedsheet I rigged up. Flat and soft, but makes her look lovely. The ripped red sofa contrasts nicely with Inge's sleek lines. Towards the end of the shoot, as the sun was setting, we get to use my fave light - "magic hour".

    This girl is the Tweety Bird fanatic of the century. It's kinda freaky really. Bed spread, wall hangings, towels, even tattoos. Slightly obsessive I would have to say. However, she made for a good photo shoot and was ever so excited about it all.

    She was a real girlie kind of girl. Had all the accessories and things that every 18 year old should have (minus the abundance of Tweety Bird gear). Man, she even had scratch and sniff panties with little pictures of fruit on the front that smell fragrant when you scratch them. Now that's weird. We shot Lisa at her parents house. It was my first shoot and kinda freaky really when there's the risk that Dad could come home from the office for 10 minutes to pick up his briefcase and find his darling little daughter from an angle he never expected or ever wished to find her in. I was the only one who was nervous though, except for when the neighbor came by to see her and was knocking at the door while young Lisa was busy on the couch showing us the "intricate folds of her flower" (got that from a cheesy book I just finished reading).

    I nearly jumped out of my skin, but it was just a young lusting boy and she shoo shoo'd him away.

    How's the old school uniform she pulled out of her closet. All her mates had written on it on their last day of high school. Guess it can't have been that old if she's only 18.     A nice girl up for a heck of a lot. We shot her in the studio with a cheesy purple backdrop. Why oh why, I will never know. Getting cleaned up at the end in our kitchenette, which I see now looks awfully messy. Our new studio is... er, well, about the same.

    VidDude: I chose the purple backdrop. It was just a colour we hadn't used before, I was willing to experiment then, it was my first times with the chance to play with proper studio situations, so I thought "lets do purple". Most of the time my artistic sense about junk like that is pretty reasonable. Occasionally I mess up. This was probably a mess-up.

    Alicia is a real down-to-earth simple kind of girl. Not a lot going on upstairs, but pretty matter-of-fact about it all, and seemed more than willing to do whatever we asked. Very agreeable, you might say.

    I loved this shoot. I loved the opportunity to go check out a models place and get familiar with how things were done, and this model was perfect for that. Lindsey was full of beans, really hospitable and most importantly, happy to be doing a shoot with us. One thing I couldn't figure out, was how such a beautiful, shiny happy girl could have such a moron for a flat mate. I think her name was Jasmine or something. When Jasmine rocked up, she told us she was interested in doing a shoot too. She seemed like model material, and I just so happened to have an interview form with me so we sat down to chat while Abby and Lindsey sorted out her attire for the shoot. I swear, I don't think, that to this day, I have met a more brainless person. I ended up telling her she should have a think about it and we could continue the interview at a later date. This was while she was pretending to read the pre shoot agreement. I don't actually think she could read at all. She was like a frightened Chihuahua. She ended up taking flight never to be seen again. Even Lindsey didn't see her again. Was it something I said?

    There was actually a lot of controversy about whether or not Lindsey was a suitable model for the site because, although she's so gorgeous and tiny, the same cannot be said about her motherly breasts. You may remember back in about September 02 where we posted Lindsey's test shot on the boards to ask you all if she would be a welcome model. Lucky you all have good sense. I too agree that she was well worth shooting. Variety is the spice of life, so they say. I like that Abby has lots of the wonderful differences you wont find on other site.

    We didn't end up seeing Lindsey for a while after that first shoot. It's always nice to see models you like after not having seen them for ages. She rocked up one day to drop in a form we'd left behind so long ago at her home. She looked great. She'd moved out of her apartment, after Jasmine took off, and was living closer to the city and was really happy. She looked beautiful.

    Argh, it's all a blur. I don't remember anything this shoot, except it was pretty fast. VidDude?

    VidDude: Bonnie was adorable. I liked her a lot. She was a bit shy, a bit preoccupied maybe, but she just looked exactly like the kind of girl who would never do this kind of thing, which is always a big plus for me. If it was up to me, the whole site would be populated by girls like that, girls just like Bonnie. Cass didn't seem to like her so much, though. And as Abby said, the shoot was over quickly. Sometimes, if a model doesn't capture Abby's attention straight away, it'll be a bit of a rushed shoot. She misses a few gems that way, I think.

    Cass: My Bonnie lies o'er the ocean. I always relate names and words to songs. I was this the whole way through her shoot. Bonnie was one of the first shoots I did with Abby. It was the first shoot in the studio which all seemed quite exciting and professional at the time. It's just a day in the life of now for this pro. Ahhh, K!

    I got a bit of a shock when Abby said she wanted to shoot Bonnie. I guess, like most girls my age, I had a pre conceived notion of what kind of girls Abby actually wanted here, and openly admit that I was very surprised I even gained a shoot, as I didn't have those stereotypical large boobs, straight white teeth, flowing blonde tresses or long slender legs. Not that I ever found that to be a hugely appealing collection of assets anyway. So this Bonnie Lass was a good insight for me, and for getting all the rubbish ideas out of my brain-washed head. Very pleasant young lady she was too. Obliging, innocent and terribly sweet. It was a good day.

    I was on Street Directory Duty that day and Abby got grumpy at me for navigating us up too many dead end streets. Once we saw Leigh's charming visage all was forgiven of course. She has one of those flats (apartments to you Americans) which is really really "lived-in", festooned with years of personal paraphernalia. She even showed us through her photo albums which was a treat, but it seemed weird that everybody had their clothes on! Maybe I need to get out more.

    Abby: Leigh is one of my fave models - she's so relaxed and sensible. We went back to her home a few times to shoot her. In her redux shoot (not this one), she was blue with cold, but insisted we kept going. I changed the lighting half way thru, from only bounced flash, to only natural light. As always, the natural light is a lot better.

    I shot Kitty on my own (unusual - I am careful to shoot every model with someone else present now, so there's no chance of anyone accusing anyone else of any funny business - not that this has ever happened in our work, but I figure if it can happen to other people, it can happen to me), after meeting her a very round about way over the internet when I was in sunny Brisbane. It was one of the first shoots with my new "real" camera, a Canon D30. Kitty was a hardcore porn model, and likes to dress... outrageously. Check her out in this pic of Angel!

    Kitty was up for a lot, but had the hardened professional look about the way she did stuff. She's top gal, tho. Had a baby in early 2003, so congrats Kitty!

    Sometimes we have to try pretty hard to get girls laughing. In this case we almost had to try and shut them up - some latent teen sleepover energy was definitely released in this shoot as Joanne and Kylie tried to rid each other of their knickers. Then Kylie was telling us some saucy stories of what happened after lights-out on school camping trips. We can't tell, of course, but we can let on that some of those stories have inspired recent Abby Winters shoots. You'll have to work out which.

    Oh yes and the ubiquitous Susie, before she lost her eyebrows in the Petra Duct Tape Accident of Autumn 2002.

    Abby: The video of this shoot ended up being our first real VHS "feature" release, in mid 2002 - "games girls play". While Kylie and Joanne did an excellent job, Elvaar and I mucked up the sound, lighting and some of the shooting, but most people have not bitched about it too much.

    Little did we know, that Joanne would end up working for us full time! Kylie came in to the studio to visit us recently, and it was great to see them reunited.

    Do I say "this is my fave model" too much? Emma is right up there. She is absolutely full of attitude, and the only way to deal with models like that is to insult them. You should be able to imagine what I was saying to her to get the responses I photographed! All in fun, of course, and it really works to get the most out of a model, I find. Elvaar says I go too far. Emma reminds me a lot of Rani in her attitude, actually.

    2114 - 2129 Lizzie (Deviations / fire twirling)
    Abby:
    The more we got to know Lizzie, the more we liked about her - and the more we learnt. These pics only partly do her athleticism, beauty, and skill justice. I'd never shot fire before, and I really should have learnt more about it before I leapt into this shoot (actually Elvaar's idea). We did not have enough fuel to get the fire to burn bright enough for the oil scene, so we had to shoot in these manic bursts when we threw on some twigs.

    For the fire twirling, I had to use a tripod, set the camera to ISO1600 (hence the grain), an aperture of 2.8, and shutter speeds of .5 to four seconds. The set as it appears in the deviations section is very uneven, technically, which frustrates me no end. Maybe next time, I'll get it right!

    Susie: Ooh-fire! This was so awesome! Lizzie had her fire twirler thingies, and we covered her in baby Oil and let her go! I nearly got hit in the head with fire because I got so excited!

    Elvaar: Lizzie was a bit nervous that she'd hit the thingies on her naked body and splash burning oil on her skin, so it all started very tentatively. I'd been struck (okay, fantasising) about the awesome sexiness of a girl twirling fire since I visited Byron about a year earlier. It's a bit of a hippy hangout and the fire people come out at dusk to do their stuff on the grassy knoll by the foreshore, while the tourists throw coins. When I found out Lizzie was one of those, I insisted we shoot her, but it turned out a lot harder than I expected. She has an incredible figure though and it worked well. Lizzie often looks goofy in pictures, and we don't know why, she has loads of personality and is very bright.

    2130 - 2145 Leyla Redux

    We wanted to shoot Leyla in her cat-suit, but it broke just as we were setting up - she zipped it up, but could not unzip it (important, in a nude shoot). Suzie tried gallantly to fix it (see backstage 1926, a few updates ago), but to no avail. She got it fixed by a tailor, and came back, and we did this shoot that is another of my all time faves. I love the natural light as backlight, the glare on the table, and her cat-like moves. Dead spunky model, unfortunately too shy for video - this scene would've worked very well.

    Susie: The cat suit! Meow!

    Emily told us she had her period, but as she was up for nude-only, and we were leaving the next day, we wanted to shoot her anyway. However, she was not that worried about doing some open-leg poses. This shoot was inspired by one-time board-poster, TalkingFigLeaf, and his brilliant post of an encounter with a lady friend who managed to wear her bra as knickers.

    Susie: So sweet, this shoot has Emily the surfer girl with her bra on as undies!

    Elvaar: This was where I got to indulge my riotgrrl fetish. Except we didn't quite have the right outfit, or the right girl, so it turned out that the girl next door was a tryhard punk this time.

    For the fire twirling, I had to use a tripod, set the camera to ISO1600 (hence the grain), an aperture of 2.8, and shutter speeds of .5 to four seconds. The set as it appears in the deviations section is very uneven, technically, which frustrates me no end. Maybe next time, I'll get it right!

    Susie: Ooh-fire! This was so awesome! Lizzie had her fire twirler thingies, and we covered her in baby Oil and let her go! I nearly got hit in the head with fire because I got so excited!

    Elvaar: Lizzie was a bit nervous that she'd hit the thingies on her naked body and splash burning oil on her skin, so it all started very tentatively. I'd been struck (okay, fantasising) about the awesome sexiness of a girl twirling fire since I visited Byron about a year earlier. It's a bit of a hippy hangout and the fire people come out at dusk to do their stuff on the grassy knoll by the foreshore, while the tourists throw coins. When I found out Lizzie was one of those, I insisted we shoot her, but it turned out a lot harder than I expected. She has an incredible figure though and it worked well. Lizzie often looks goofy in pictures, and we don't know why, she has loads of personality and is very bright.

    2130 - 2145 Leyla Redux
    Abby:
    We wanted to shoot Leyla in her cat-suit, but it broke just as we were setting up - she zipped it up, but could not unzip it (important, in a nude shoot). Suzie tried gallantly to fix it (see backstage 1926, a few updates ago), but to no avail. She got it fixed by a tailor, and came back, and we did this shoot that is another of my all time faves. I love the natural light as backlight, the glare on the table, and her cat-like moves. Dead spunky model, unfortunately too shy for video - this scene would've worked very well.

    Susie: The cat suit! Meow!

    2146 - 2160 Emily Redux
    Abby:
    Emily told us she had her period, but as she was up for nude-only, and we were leaving the next day, we wanted to shoot her anyway. However, she was not that worried about doing some open-leg poses. This shoot was inspired by one-time board-poster, TalkingFigLeaf, and his brilliant post of an encounter with a lady friend who managed to wear her bra as knickers.

    Susie: So sweet, this shoot has Emily the surfer girl with her bra on as undies!

    Elvaar: This was where I got to indulge my riotgrrl fetish. Except we didn't quite have the right outfit, or the right girl, so it turned out that the girl next door was a tryhard punk this time.

    We got Petra as a model largely by chance, and via a very circuitous route. I was hesitant from her test shots (we did not interview her), but Elvaar insisted and was right on the money, as he so often is. We had a great day planned, the legendary train tracks shoot, this window-seat shoot, the Deviations shoot in the dungeon, and a girl-girl shoot with Susie - a really full day.

    Unfortunately my camera broke mid-way through the Dungeon shoot (you can see where we switched to the cheapie cam we shot about a quarter of this site on, when we were getting started). ANYway, for this shoot, the camera worked fine. Most of these were taken while Elvaar was shooting video, hence the noise.

    Susie: Ahh... Petra changing a light bulb... so simple... so lovely!

    Elvaar: I never thought anyone could reach 19 without having changed a light bulb but when you smoulder like Petra I suspect there are a lot of things you never have to do. Susie is of course being sarcastic, her usual fallback when she has nothing to say (hardly ever). It seemed a simple enough idea - girl in morning attire reaches up to change light bulb, while camera, as always the voyeur, captures the modulations of her rippling musculature.     One of Elvaar's faves (and mine too!), Aimee was such a damn nice gal - and has a great rig for a 31 year old! She had some great pee stories, that I'll let Elvaar relate...

    Susie: We couldn't believe our luck when Miss Aimee walked in, she was stunning. This pee scene was hilarious! She just cracked up the whole time! Nice work by Aimee.

    Elvaar: Pee stories? What makes you think _I_ was paying attention? Yeah I want to marry Aimee. Really. She's cool, and sensible, and doesn't suck.

    2048 - 2072 Felicity

    This was a 20 knockoff shoot, cos we felt it'd be rude to shoot Lizzie and not Felicity. There must have been something wrong with my brain that day, dunno what I was thinking, cos she turned out to be a very popular model. Despite not spending much time on her shoot, it's a good one. I like the light a lot.

    Susie: She's got the best freckles! Even on her bum!

    We take clothes along to shoots in case a model bring nothing but black clothes (these don't show up so well on film), or brings really glammy Penthouse-style stuff cos for some reason she thinks that's what we want. They cheerfully tell us they never wear that shit, but own it cos their boyf made them buy it. sigh

    Susie: Another funny shoot, Georgia made a total mess of the clothes department and I had to clean it up! As usual!

    Elvaar: Stop your whining Susie, I seem to remember you spent this shoot playing Snood on Abby's notebook. Georgia was fun, and very grownup for her age.

    2086 - 2105 Aimee redux

    Driving around the town we were staying in, we saw this turnoff to a small road, and it looked like a great location for a secluded outdoors shoot. Turned out it was the main drag to the next town. We stopped for five minutes and started setting up, but Aimee got more and more nervous at all the trucks driving past, and I didn't like them much either. So we kept driving, taking the smallest turnoffs we could find, until we came to this location, as you can see in 2099, it's kind of remote. Right near a paddock of cows, and in the lush green grass, it was the perfect place for Aimee to pop the top and have a lounge around. And a pee.

    Susie: There were so many cool shoots in Byron, but this had to be one of the best. "Hey Aimee, lets drive drive someplace in your Kombi and you can jump around nude in it!" And she was like "Yeah!!" What more can I say?

    Elvaar: We asked her to ferret around in that stowage compartment so we could get some good bum shots. And we did, but we got so much more...(sorry, borrowed that from the Spinal Tap script)....unfortunately we can't reveal exactly what she pulled outta there, but it was sure funny. It was a beautiful day, just after some rain so the ground was quite soggy, and the tripod kept sinking. Apart from that all I can remember is how damn cute Aimee was. Is.

    We trekked for about 45 minutes to get to this beach, nominally nudist, and had to walk up it with all our gear for about a kilometre to find a patch that was suitable. My car still has stains on the inside doors from where Elvaar over-enthusiastically applied sunscreen, as a reminder of a shoot that was a lot of hassle, and was not really an ideal model for the site. Cool location, tho.

    Susie: Cool hula-hoops! She was a real-life circus performer! Cool!

    Elvaar: It was my call to shoot Leonie but I probably shouldn't have been so vocal without having met her closeup (I saw test pics, and saw her walk past). She was a cool performer though, and I still can't work out how she got those hoops to go up and down her body, separate, then meet in the middle again. That animal on the sign is a local maneater called a Kangasaurus.

    Aww, she's lovely too. I love all the Byron girls the best! They have the best tans, and cute little dreadlocks. It was so hard trying to get the damn cat suit to do up, the zip was broken, but we really wanted to use it. One of the only girls I've seen who make cat suits look good!

    Abby: Leyla was the first model we shot in this new town, it was a Friday night, the mozzies were biting, and the sun was setting real fast, Despite the shittyness of the flash, this set turned out ok, even though it's technically a little under. Leyla was a trooper and endured many bits for this shoot.

    1929 - 1935 Emily (first surf shoot)

    The surfing shoot! Emily bought along her own board and actually managed to catch a couple of waves nude, what a top chick! She thought it was hilarious, we all had the best time!

    Abby: We had been wanting to do a beach shoot at sunset for a long time, and we finally got the chance. Emily had the board with her when she came for her shoot, and the time was right. She showed us what we thought was going to be an isolated surfing beach, but it actually turned out to be pretty populated. She said she'd never do this on her own, but having a photographer, videographer, and assistant on the scene lent it all an air of legitimacy that made her feel comfy. I for one am glad we could be of assistance!

    Elvaar: Yeah, Emily was the real archetypal surfie chick, and turned up in a clapped-out old station wagon, out of rego but full of sand and KFC wrappers. I think she had an exhibitionist's streak in her and really dug the whole escapade. She was kind of shy for the video and I'd like to have got some good shots of her on the board - she was very co-operative but the surf wasn't. All the other surfies gathered around to lend some authenticity to the scene - thanks guys, but we had a beach and a pretty naked girl, that's all we needed!

    1936 - 1959 Leyla and Georgia (and Susie and Gretchen)

    This was sooo much fun! Gretchen and I were cracking up the whole time, and so were the girls but Abby was trying to make us keep straight faces, which just made it worse!! I think the idea for the shoot was Elvaar's, and we all loved it straight away. Lucky we could find two cool chicks to do it with.

    Abby: Little did Susie know, but her and Gretchen were strictly eye-candy, and not part of the master plan. But that's ok. Like most of these shoots, we started (well, Elvaar started) with a germ of an idea - body painting - and we all ran with it. It quickly grew into a massive production, with hair and makeup crew required, and a props department. We scattered and reconvened a few hours later, and this shoot was the result. Ever-enthusiastic to introduce a liquid element into a shoot, Elvaar suggested they have a shower to clean up, and luckily our beach house came with an outdoor shower. The sunset garden frolic was a given.

    Elvaar: That paint is freaky stuff, like latex, and it was clogging the shower drain for the rest of our stay there, not to mention the patio which we never did quite clean up. The girls were a bit bemused at the idea at first but once they got those brushes out their inner girlies took over and it was like going back to kinder. You'll notice a lot of gadget-girl Abby's grips apparatus in these shots - why get somebody to hold something when you can spend half an hour constructing a heath-robinson to do it for you?

    1960 - 1970 Kaye
    Susie:
    Average. Very average. This shoot is all Elvaar's fault though he won't admit it. He thought she was lovely, Abby and I felt very differently. And still do.

    Abby: Me too. I did not like Kaye at all. She was grumpy and annoying.

    Elvaar: She was no less annoying than Abby is when you put a fingerprint on her monitor. A bit delusional, sure, but we get a few of those. I thought she was quite pretty and had a nice figure.

    1971 - 1989 Rachel
    Susie:
    This lovely young lady did this awesome shoot on the hammock with us, then as she was leaving all her friends came over to pick her up. They were all gorgeous! (And all very young!) We were all excited but they declined their services unfortunately... ah well, it's their loss!

    Abby: This premise was Elvaar's idea, and like pretty much all of his, it was a good one. The problem was, she is the wrong model for it. Rachel has these arresting blue eyes that beg to be looking at the camera. Shooting in a hammock presented more difficulties than we anticipated, as well, for angles. I think we should tackle this location again.

    Elvaar: Another one of those "seemed like a good idea at the time" but because the hammock hugs the body contours it's more restrictive than anything else, and I don't think she was the right girl for it.

    1990 - 2000 Lizzie

    Lizzie is so beautiful! She has the best tan EVER!

    Abby: Lizzie ended up being a great friend of ours. She and Felicity met Cass by the kind of accident that can only have when you're backpacking around a country like Australia, and mentioned us. Lizzie and Felicity were curious, and came to meet us (and thus, Cass's first referral - we offer a cash incentive to models we shoot to refer their friends). Lizzie, next to Susie, is the most photographed model on this site.

    A few months after Cass started, Lizzie moved in, and then started working for us. She was invaluable in many areas, and drove the boat on our recent river shoots (and cooked lunch to boot!). Lizzie is now in NZ terrorizing Kiwi boys. :)

    Elvaar: Mmm lizzie...she's one of those quiet girls who lets you think there's not much going on inside, then she'll come out with something witty and insightful that makes everyone laugh. This might be hard to believe, but she actually isn't very photogenic - none of the pictures on the site do justice to her gorgeousness.

    Lizzie brought along the darling Felicity too, what a bonus eh? Lizzie liked working with us so much she has just recently done an explicit shoot. And while you are looking at theses photos, check out the cards they girls were playing with. Priceless!

    Abby: A strip poker shoot had been on the cards for a long time, and it sounds like such a good idea. As, anyone who has played it against a bevy of young female backpackers will know, there's plenty of, er, opportunities. Especially if you know how to play poker.

    Unfortunately, when you actually have the cards, the location, and the models, it's not so easy. In fact, it does not really work at all. So we tried some other card games (snap!, Solitaire, et al), not realising at the time that the problem was not the game, but the premise. There's not much sexy about a girl holding five cards (unless, perhaps, you are a playing-card designer, and don't get out much). So we ditched the idea, and just got them to fool about and smoke some ciggies, which looks fine anyway - two chums relaxing in the dappled shade.

    Ironically, we're now just about to release a Strip21 card game, but a lot more work went into that.

    Elvaar: I think it could have been a great shoot if the girls had played it up and had some fun, but they were both new to this whole thing and didn't really know how to react. And they are both introverted personalities - we needed to get a loudmouth like Susie or Cass in there to stir up the pot.

    Abby: The weather being so nice, Elvaar suggested we use the hose on Cass (actually, the weather does not have to be nice for Elvaar to use THAT apparatus). Luckily Cass is a top chick (so tops what we gave her a full time job a few months later!), and had a ball with this shoot. The camera got a little wet, but that's ok, it has rubber sea lions. I mean, seals. Gretchen was forever larking about at the edge of shoots, and being helpful where she could.

    Elvaar: I deny the hose was my idea this time though I admit it's a good way of dealing with a model who talks too much. Gretchen is a good ol' country gal who can't resist getting under the hose on a hot day while Susie is just a sadist. Mind you, she owed us a few hosings.

    1824 - 1864 Lex
    Susie:
    Well, what can I say? For those of you that have Gold section access you would have seen (um, and heard!) the fanny fart extravaganza that was Lex. I thought it was gross.

    Abby: Lex was a very sexual person, and she really floated mine and Elvaar's boat... until she started doing fanny farts. It's hard to look at someone the same way, after that. To be fair, we did ask her if she had any party tricks, and played it cool until we wheedled it out of her what she could do.

    Elvaar: I think, Abby, you have a somewhat romantic memory of this escapade! She was very sultry, that's true, and the spider bite story was cool but the fanny farts put a lid on it for me. Susie's just jealous cos she doesn't have the apparatus to do them herself - it takes a special, er, anatomy. But Lex was a great chick to shoot, laid back and fun. That's my book by the way. It's a chillingly accurate commentary on the male psyche. Don't ever let your wife/gf/partner read it.

    1865 - 1823 Kaya
    Susie:
    Ooh, she had sooo much pubic hair. I don't think I've ever seen so much in my life. Nice girl, VERY flexible. She'd be great in bed!

    Abby: We had a great time with Kaya, as she is so damn flexible. As you'll see in the stills shoots, we did a lot of stop-motion stuff, that I am really pleased with.

    1824 - 1892 Sonia
    Abby:
    Sonia was one of those quiet and agreeable types who did not have much to say, but verified that they were indeed bush turkeys wandering through the garden of our rented home. Good to know.

    Elvaar: Sonia was great, a really nice down to earth country chick who grew up not far from Gretchen as it happens. She didn't really understand why anyone would want to see her undress against such a pretty background. Apparently she has never seen a mirror.

    1893 - 1905 Anna
    Susie:
    Hot! Hot! Hot! The very last shoot we did in Byron, half of the equipment was packed up and Abby and I had a ten hour drive in front of us, but when Anna walked in we had to shoot her! She has such a gorgeous body, and her hair is so long and nice! Cool necklace too. Her boyfriend was a dickhead though.

    Abby: Her boyf was a worry, but nevertheless, she is spunky. This is one of the last shoots we did with the crappiest piece of gear that Canon ever made, the 550ex flash. To get the fore and backgrounds exposed correctly, they cannot be orders of magnitude different in brightness, so I had to use a fill flash for this shoot, but it's still under-exposed, unfortunately.

    1906 - 1914 Mez Heather
    Susie:
    Well, this shoot is in the mezzanine section. She's just got a really big nose that's all, but she's also got a really big heart (1,2,3 awww).

    Abby: Heather was nice and all, but she was not right for the main area of the site. The swing idea seems like such a good one, but we have tried it several times, and it has never really worked out. Most recently with Lillian.

    Elvaar: She's much prettier than the camera makes out. You'd think that a short skirt and a swing was a good recipe for some candid shots, wouldn't you? Try it someday, it's not as easy as it looks.

    1709-1735 Amanda and Annalise
    Elvaar: After the success of the somewhat candid 'performance' by Susie and Nikki (there was no performing going on at all, we later realised) we decided that a good girl-girl sequence was much more about passion than what the girls look like. So we invited 5 Abby girls around for an afternoon of fun and frivolity then asked them all to write down on a secret ballot the name of the girl they'd most like to shag. The only two-way match came from these two so we set up our cameras and gave them the most basic of instructions - 'just have a good time and get right into it'. Sounds like a simple recipe - but then so does making toast, and how often we burn it. We did some good stills but unfortunately the video is a little more Thespian than lesbian.

    1736-1744 Haley Redux
    Haley is one of those really quiet, easy going girls we love to photograph. She was chuffed to be invited back and we were pleased to see her skin had apparently not been impinged upon by a single photon since the previous shoot. Ah, alabaster, thy glow does warm the heart of my cockles.

    1745-1789 Rural NSW, incl. Susie, Gretchen, Serena
    One of the lurks of working for Abby Winters is that she's all for trying new things (except food). So when somebody said "hey I've got an idea, lets pack the gear up and set off to, say, a beautiful seaside town and see if we can get some chicks to shoot?" Abby was easily swayed. It was Autumn and we were staring at 5 months of shivery so we thought, beachy is peachy, and we headed north to Byron Bay. Well we weren't disappointed - no shortage of locations and pretty girls. Susie was in charge of recruitment, with Serena assisting and Gretchen, well she was freeloading nut we don't mind one bit because Gretchen is cool, and funny.

    1790-1802 Susie beach
    We had just finished shooting somebody on a long stretch of deserted beach late one afternoon when a full moon started to rise and make an eerie late afternoon light. Susie had kept her clothes on for, oh, days, and we knew it was only a matter of time before this would happen. She took off down to the beach in a gallop, ripping her gear off along the way in a very Sports Illustrated way, as only Susie can do.

    1803-1812 Petra train tracks
    Petra was a big departure for Abby and especially, from the style of shoots we'd been doing on this trip. We invited her down from a northern capital on the strength of just a few sample shots, something which had backfired on us once before but this time we were totally arrested by what we saw that morning she arrived. Given her smouldering looks and beautiful pearly complexion, the beach was out so we decamped to a nearby railway line to get some rusty juxtaposition to her pristine organic form (that's arty talk, you probably won't understand - that's why we're here and you're there.) The tracks were stinking hot so you might see her wincing as she sits down the first time. And I'm not sure if the shots made it into the set but in the distance you might see a car stopped on the level crossing for an extraordinary amount of time - Petra didn't mind, and we didn't mind, because the sound of mangling metal would have given us handy warning of an approaching train.

    We're sorry about the boots, they don't suit the girl or the location, but that's all she had. We're not one bit sorry about Petra though.
