    Abby:     Ah, Kate P. She's a top chick, and ended up doing a lot more than she originally planned to and we love it when that happens. We tried for a pee scene, but her bladder would not oblige she tried for literally 45 minutes, bless her. The last bit of the shoot was list by natural light bounced off the 'fleccy' short for 'reflector' board, a stray sun beam. Natural light always looks best, but it's rarely so obliging and it often changes. The first of our height comparisons there with Susie as well we do that for every model now, thanks to Artful.

    326 - 336
    Abby:     18 year old Amy was a ball o fun, as you can see from her height comparisons with Susie. I was playing around with the flash lighting in some of these.

    337 - 343
    Abby:     Kel's holding a white towel that we use to set the camera's white balance. All other colours are based on THAT white. If you see some pics on the site with a blue or yellow cast, it's generally due to a bad white balance. Some of our earlier shoots have that, but we're better at it now! I quite like her tattoo, and her bod is shown off to good advantage by the daylight coming thru the window.

    Susie: Her tattoo was awful.

    Abby:     Caitlin is one of our fave models - all 'round nice girl. She brought her cute little fluffy white dog along to the shoot as well, those pics are coming up. Susie was on her way to her other job - barmaid - and you can see her badge er, 'pin' for our American friends - 'Am I cute, or am I cute?'. Inenuh.

    Susie: She was one of my favorite models, and her dog was cute. I looked after it during the shoot.

    365 - 371
    Abby:     Ange was referred to us by her best friend, Kate P you can see her in the background of one of the shots here. I foolishly set the camera to ISO1600 makes it very sensitive to light, gains a few stops, but introduces a lot of noise in the image. I reshot the whole sequence 30 minutes later, which is what is on the site, but I kinda like some of these ones as well.

    Susie: Ange was cute, kinda 'baby-cute'. She was all peaches and cream!

    372 - 378
    Abby:     Nikki was fun to work with, but in a few of these shots, she did not realise her face was in them, so she's busy catching up with Susie, off camera. 0372 is one of her initial test shots we take a topless test shot of every applicant - direct flash, shows up flaws and so on, but she looks pretty darn good, really.

    Susie: It was so cool to catch up with Nikki again, she looks just as good now as she did when she was younger, probably better!

    Abby:     A few more pics of Raven, at last lightening up some. I keep a few hundred albums MP3'd on my PC which I take to shoots, so the models can choose some music, that's what she is doing leaning over there. I forget what music she chose, tho.

    Vid Dude: I wasn't there for her shoot I had to go back to my day job. I did meet her at her initial interview, though, and got her on videotape. She looked just as grumpy then, too. I wouldd say it was her time of the month, but we can all clearly see that it wasn't, so I dunno...

    205 - 217
    Abby: These two models have not made it to the Gold Section quite yet, but they will soon - Sarah and Rhiannon. I did not have time to do solo shoots of them, but they agreed to come in and do some fooling about with each other, which culminated in Rhiannon shaving Sara.

    While on a break, they were fooling about with some handcuffs I happened to have lying around don't ask, and got a little entangled. I wish I had the forethought to ask them to do the rest of the shoot cuffed together :

    To save time, I often get models to fill out their release forms but not sign them! during breaks. It was reallllllly hot that day, you can see them sopping sweat with towels.

    Abby:     A few pics of Haley relaxing in the warehouse where we shot her, between scenes. We could only get this warehouse late at night, and we had already spent a few hours shooting Haley in the electronics workshop, so it was even later by the time we got to the end of this shoot.

    Vid Dude: Elvaar was videoing that day.

    Abby:     heh, cute pic of Charlie and Dee doing their string-of-pearls insertions. When I used the Sony digital camera, I copied all the pics onto my laptop computer also a Sony, it has a special slot for the Sony memory media, as a backup and for storage. Handy for reviewing pics as well. You can see some of the shoot paraphernalia there as well. We used to use mags as sources for ideas of poses, but we don't any more. That piece of paper is where we write down the start and stop times of a shoot which affects how we pay the models.

    There's a miniDV tape there the format we shoot video on, a spare camera battery I have been caught before in the middle of an excellent scene with flat batteries, so I am very sure to keep a spare handy since then. My new camera Canon D30 can take two batteries with an additional 'portrait grip' so you can comfortably hold the camera at 90 degrees, 'portrait' style, like most of my picsand with that in place, I can shoot about 1000 frames before needing to replace the batteries. Nice.

    That small cardboard box right beside the mirror, grey and red, is for a bulb that goes in the lights we used to use for still shoots. They blow now and then, and like a battery, that can compromise a shoot, so we always have spares.

    Vid Dude: I'm surprised you can't see how many people were in that room during that shoot - five of us. Abby, me, Tahlia, and the two girls on the bed. On a screamingly hot day, and I was getting hotter by witnessing the events going on on the bed. Absolute stunner of an evening.

That's Tahlia in the blue dress. 116 and 117 are shots of Lucy getting ready for her shoot, with Allanah telling a story in the background.

    Vid Dude: This was my first time at watching two girls have sex. As you can imagine, it was really quite intense! Unforgettable day, that's for sure.

I try to catch the model unawares sometimes, to practice my photography, and also just to see if I can get the model as they naturally are. You don't normally get to see that part of what we do, the behind-the-scenes stuff.

    Until now, that is. We've opened up the archives, as it were, so you can see a bit more of what goes on behind the camera, away from the lights, when the models are getting ready - or packing up to go, and when Vid Dude is just sitting around doing nothing. Which he does a lot.

    As this part of the site grows, we hope you'll get an understanding of the work that goes in to bringing abbywinters.com to you guys, and we also hope you'll enjoy this casual glimpse of this other side of porn shoots.
